What are we looking for?

In this role, you will develop, scale, and optimize our affiliate marketing program across international markets. This role will focus on building and managing relationships with high-quality affiliate partners, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and cultural considerations in diverse regions.

What will you do?

  • Design and execute a global affiliate marketing strategy, identifying key affiliate partners to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Build, nurture, and manage relationships with affiliate networks, agencies, publishers, and strategic partners.
  • Create monthly plans, partner recruitment target lists, pipeline goals, and campaign calendars tailored to regional market opportunities.
  • Develop performance incentives, commission structures, and promotional campaigns tailored to regional markets.
  • Act as a knowledge hub for affiliate best practices across different markets (UK, Canada, Australia, EU, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with performance marketing, brand, product, and legal teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze affiliate program performance metrics including CPA, LTV, ROAS, and partner contribution.
  • Conduct regular partner outreach, contract negotiations, onboarding, and training to ensure productive collaborations.
  • Stay informed on affiliate marketing trends, tools, and best practices globally.
  • Manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and maximum ROI.
  • Create playbooks and FAQs for internal stakeholders and agency partners to streamline onboarding and ensure program consistency globally.

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
  • You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.

Can I work remotely?

BetterHelp is based in California but we're a fully remote team. For those in the EU, you'll work your local hours but ask that a portion of your working hours overlap with our US team to ensure effective collaboration. Employees may also be asked to visit our San Jose, CA office (up to three times per year) to build strong team connections and experience our culture. Travel expenses will be covered, and reasonable accommodations will be made for those with unique travel challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in affiliate marketing or partnerships, with a focus on international markets, especially the UK, EU, Australia, and Canada.
  • Strong track record of scaling affiliate programs and managing partner relationships.
  • Deep understanding of affiliate networks, platforms, and compliance regulations.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with expertise in performance metrics and budget management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects across regions.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Benefits

  • The chance to build something that changes lives – and that people love
  • Free BetterHelp accounts for all team members
  • An awesome community of co-workers

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
