Notion

International Experience Quality Program Manager (Contract)

Job Description

About Us:

We're on a mission to make it possible for every person, team, and company to be able to tailor their software to solve any problem and take on any challenge. Computers may be our most powerful tools, but most of us can't build or modify the software we use on them every day. At Notion, we want to change this with focus, design, and craft.

We've been working on this together since 2016, and have customers like OpenAI, Toyota, Figma, Ramp, and thousands more on this journey with us. Today, we're growing fast and excited for new teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We're passionate about building a company as diverse and creative as the millions of people Notion reaches worldwide.About The Role:

What was once Localization is now International Experience. We’re a team that’s passionate about the entire end-to-end global strategy for our customers and Notion users, moving beyond focusing on just translation. We leverage data, product and design thinking, and partnerships across the company to drive results in every country and 14+ languages.

We’re looking for our first ever Program Manager to define what International Experience Quality looks like at Notion. This is an exciting role where you’ll craft the quality program from the ground up for millions of customers.

What You'll Achieve:

You’ll set up a first-of-its kind International Experience Quality Program, including but not limited to defining our language tiering and LQA approach across multiple content types (product, marketing, video subtitling, and more). You’ll drive MT and AI translation model evaluations to ensure Notion is always working with the most cutting edge technology. You’ll define and own our testing strategy and own end-to-end content quality in 14 (and growing) languages.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • Language tiering experience across multiple languages and content types
  • LQA experience
  • MT/AI evaluation experience across different types of content, models, and language pairs
  • Experience working with and leveraging data to make decisions, including monitoring quality over time and actioning results
  • Experience working with LSPs and creating context for translators, including but not limited to managing Translation Memories, style guides, and glossaries. Bonus points if you’re thinking about how to do this using AI.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working with Phrase TMS
  • Experience leveraging AI in quality workflows
  • Notion knowledge

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
