Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join our dynamic client teams across industries including retail, technology, consumer goods, and professional services. In this role, you will provide expert legal support by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading clients on high-impact matters, shaping contractual strategies and supporting business operations in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including vendor, supply, licensing, SaaS, service, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Providing legal guidance on commercial contracting issues and related risk mitigation.
- Collaborating with client legal departments and internal corporate stakeholders to align on key business terms.
- Managing contract-related legal issues for clients across multiple industries.
- Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive, strategic counsel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of in-house experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law and contractual best practices.
- Proven track record of advising clients on commercial agreement terms, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- JD degree or equivalent and active membership in good standing in the state in which you currently reside.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience creating contract templates and managing contract databases.
- Background in the telecommunications and/or education industries is a plus.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $120,000, and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401k, and more.
