Job Description

What is NordLayer?

NordLayer secures remote workspaces for 3,000+ businesses worldwide (including multiple Fortune 50 companies) by encrypting every connection point. This makes it impossible to trace the origin, ensuring a completely safe remote work experience - whether you’re at an airport, on a bus, or in a café.


NordLayer’s Business Enablement team is essential to the organization, and your role will be crucial in shaping current and future iterations on third party tool integrations. This means building robust code that bridges the gap between different systems. Be one of the first to join this newly formed team and help us build sustainable and future-proof solutions.



Main Responsibilities
  • Expand and improve our codebase by writing clean, quality PHP code supported by automated tests;
  • Prioritize security in all development work to ensure robust and safe solutions;
  • Advocate for good coding practices, continuous delivery, and technical excellence;
  • Initiate and champion new technologies and development processes to enhance team capabilities;
  • Unify workflows, frameworks, and practices across teams to streamline operations.


Core Requirements
  • At least 5 + years of experience working with PHP;
  • Fluency in Symfony;
  • Understanding of OOP principles & good code design;
  • Previous experience in building highly scalable systems;
  • Knowledge of API design and good MySQL practices with experience handling big data quantities;
  • Familiarity with Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, and version control using Git.


Bonus Points for
  • Experience working in Microservices;
  • Knowledge in CQRS.
