POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a contract position.
As part of the Software Product Management team in Natera’s technical organization, the Lead Data Analyst - Master Data Sets will work with internal business partners to define data structures, migrate existing data, and develop data governance processes.
This position is remote with potential 10% travel for on-site meetings in Austin, TX or San Carlos, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze master data needs across the organization: e.g. lab operations, billing, provider and patient services
- Advise product and software groups on data definitions and hierarchy
- Serve as the subject matter expert on IBM Product Master and Data Catalogs
- Define and document processes for data governance and maintenance within Product Master
- Incorporate a focus on quality into data and process design and work closely with development and software quality assurance teams to ensure data governance steps align with SDLC
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or higher in Information Systems, Genetics, Bioinformatics or related major or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of direct experience in business systems analysis
- Background working with data architecture
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must Have:
- Basic concepts of data modeling and databases.
- Basic understanding of genetics and clinical data
- JIRA or similar issue tracking system
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Nice to Have:
- Working experience with IBM Product Master
- Ability to run simple SQL queries
- Knowledge of REST API, JSON / XML concepts
- Understanding of Laboratory software compliance requirements
- Laboratory processes and instrumentation
- Object-oriented programming knowledge
