Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a meticulous and strategic Leads Researcher to build comprehensive prospect databases targeting highly specialized market segments. This role focuses on identifying and researching specialized point-of-sale platforms serving niche retail segments, as well as niche marketplace/MLM platforms catering to side-hustle entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will excel at deep-dive research to uncover hard-to-find prospects in these very specific, underserved markets where traditional e-commerce solutions don't meet specialized needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Specialized Platform Research:
Identify and research point-of-sale platforms serving specific retail verticals with unique compliance requirements and industry-specific workflows.
MLM/Direct Sales Platform Discovery:
Research multi-level marketing companies and direct sales platforms where independent distributors manage side businesses, working part-time and handling inventory and customer relationships.
Side-Hustle Market Analysis:
Build databases of platforms catering to entrepreneurs running secondary income streams like party-plan companies and consultant-based businesses.
Deep-Dive Prospect Profiling:
Create comprehensive profiles of 10 prospects, including platform business models, seller demographics, shipping pain points, compliance requirements, and integration capabilities.
Vertical Market Intelligence:
Research emerging niches in specialty retail, regulated industries, and direct sales sectors to identify platforms that serve underserved merchant segments with complex shipping needs.
Hidden Market Discovery:
Uncover platforms and marketplaces that don't appear in standard business directories using unconventional research methods.
Data Validation & Qualification:
Verify platform specifications, merchant base characteristics, and shipping volume potential to ensure alignment with our client's specialized service capabilities.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3+ years of experience in market research, lead research, or business development, preferably with experience in niche market identification.
Research Expertise:
Exceptional ability to conduct deep-dive research using various online platforms, industry databases, and unconventional methods.
Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of e-commerce ecosystems, marketplace structures, and challenges faced by part-time sellers and side-hustle entrepreneurs.
Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to assess market segments, evaluate platform viability, and identify patterns in niche retail sectors.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous data collection and verification approach to ensure high-quality prospect information.
Communication Skills:
