Overview

As the frontline engine of Instacart’s Litigation Operations team, the Legal Operations Processor triages high‑volume legal‑intake emails and physical/digital mail, routes items accurately, and owns critical workflows that keep our legal operations compliant and efficient.

About the Role

Manage day‑to‑day intake, shepherd workflows such as garnishments, consumer complaints, unemployment‑insurance and workers’-comp claims, and arbitration opt‑outs, while driving process improvements and maintaining service‑level commitments.

Litigation Operations safeguards Instacart by ensuring every legal request is handled swiftly and accurately. We value ownership, efficiency, and close cross‑functional collaboration.

About the Job

Triage legal‑intake emails and physical/digital mail, ensuring quick, accurate routing.Support key workflows: garnishments, consumer complaints, unemployment‑insurance and workers’ compensation claims.Maintain and organize repositories, proactively clear backlogs and track completion metrics.Collaborate daily with Legal, Payroll, Compliance, and outside counsel to close out requests and projects.Expand into subpoenas, shopper‑arbitration demands, litigation support, and other high‑impact projects.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years in legal operations, claims processing, or similar high‑volume document‑handling environment.Proven ability to triage 100+ items daily with high accuracy and tight deadlines.Proficiency with Google Workspace and ticketing/intake toolsStrong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling subpoenas, arbitration demands, or basic litigation support.Familiarity with wage‑garnishment and consumer‑complaint processes.Background in e‑discovery or litigation support technology.
