Your Journey at Neighbors Bank
Most Loan Officers earn $70,000–$90,000 annually, with top performers exceeding $100,000. There is a comprehensive program provided to support you in reaching your income goals, which starts with a 2- to 3-month training and origination program.
During the first 2 to 3 months, you’ll focus on learning the ropes for loan origination and gain hands-on experience in the mortgage industry while sharpening your sales skills. Compensation during the origination training phase includes $20 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses.
Upon meeting clearly defined performance goals, your compensation will be adjusted to the following:
- $60,000 base salary
- Uncapped bonuses
- $5,000 one-time promotion bonus
Your Role as a Loan Officer
Loan Officers play a key role in guiding clients through the home loan process. These are clients that reach out to Neighbors Bank for support, so there is no cold calling required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate borrowers on the loan process and identify financing options.
- Analyze credit, income, and assets to prequalify or deny applications.
- Structure loans, issue pre-approvals, and manage the process through closing.
- Provide clear, ongoing communication with borrowers and their real estate agent.
- Secure documentation and ensure all stages of the loan process are completed efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
