We are looking for a Localization Project Manager.
We are seeking a Project Manager for our Enterprise clients who will manage translation projects, work with translators and directly with our top clients in the digital space, covering Japan's standard working hours.
We are offering a contractor role, fully remote from Japan.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing projects across all service types and clients, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and adherence to budget constraints. You will provide a high level of support to both clients and linguists throughout the project while ensuring the implementation of established processes. You may collaborate with Senior Project Managers (SPjMs) to guarantee client satisfaction regarding the quality of service and to support the on production for specific clients or service offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage projects for all service types based on agreed-upon processes, ensuring they are delivered on time, with the expected level of quality, and within budget.
- Pick up urgent requests and attend client meetings during Japan's standard working hours to discuss translation quality or related matters.
- Provide a high level of support to clients and linguists on a project-level, addressing questions, concerns, and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of service, including OTD and the quality of deliverables for their service offerings.
This position will include the possibility to work on holidays and/or weekends, if necessary.A training period in our HQ in Pi Campus, Rome (Italy), can be organised for the successful candidate.
Requirements
- Based in Japan, with native-level proficiency in Japanese and professional-level proficiency in English.
- At least 2 years of previous experience in Localization and Project Management.
- Knowledge of the localization process and CAT-tools.
- Demonstrated history of being a self-driven, motivated, and outcome-oriented professional who actively seeks ownership and accountability. Comfortable navigating in an environment with ambiguity and fluidity.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, delivering information in a concise, fact-based, and informative manner. Capable of simplifying complex information.
- Boasts outstanding organizational skills, excelling in prioritization and managing competing demands. Enthusiastic about achieving excellence and maintaining a sharp focus on detail.
- Thrives in a highly collaborative work environment, contributing to a culture of teamwork and shared success.
