UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

Purpose of the Position:
The Manager, Admissions leads and supports a team of Admissions Representatives to ensure prospective students receive accurate, ethical, and mission-aligned guidance throughout the enrollment process. This role plays a key part in driving student enrollment by fostering team development, maintaining compliance with institutional policies, and collaborating across departments to support strategic enrollment goals.
What you’ll do:
- Team leadership: Lead a team of Admissions Representatives and Assistant Managers, ensuring alignment with institutional enrollment strategies, policies, and ethical standards.
- Oversee enrollment packet review and approval: Ensure compliance with admissions requirements and support students entering the Provisional Enrollment Period.
- Develop team performance: Provide regular feedback, training, and support to promote professional growth, retention, and high-quality student engagement.
- Implement and manage admissions processes and procedures: Implement and lead process and procedural changes, guiding staff through transitions and ensuring consistent execution.
- Monitor and interpret operational reports and enrollment data: Review data and take appropriate action to support enrollment goals and improve team performance.
- Ensure accurate and ethical communication: Conduct quality assurance checks on team interactions to maintain professionalism and clarity related to communications with prospective students. Support a seamless student enrollment experience and uphold institutional mission and values.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting: Support Assistant Managers in maintaining accurate tracking and reportingof student progress through the admissions pipeline.
- Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience in Admissions or management experience with a proven track record of effective people management.
- Above-average oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Skills – (student-centered communication, leadership and team development, data-driven decision making, and change management).
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- 5 years of experience in Admissions or management experience with a proven track record of effective people management.
- Work experience in a contact center environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and carefully follow all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
- Participate in activities including, but not limited to, student recruitment activities and/or activities related to securing financial aid. Required only for positions covered by Title IV.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a remote position.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
