As we scale our Flights offering, we’re hiring an Air Operations & Fulfillment Manager to help us bring world-class airline content and fulfillment to life.
This role will serve as the operational backbone of our air product—owning GDS execution, ARC compliance, and the systems and workflows that power booking, ticketing, and post-ticketing experiences. You’ll work across supply, product, and operations to ensure our airline partnerships and technology integrations are set up to scale efficiently and deliver maximum value.
What You’ll Do
- Product Operations: Lead the operational execution of Engine’s Flights product, ensuring high-quality air fulfillment and customer support
- GDS Management: Manage GDS configuration and optimization, including fare/rule setup, profile management, and booking flow tuning
- ARC & Ticketing Compliance: Own ARC accreditation, reporting, ticket issuance, refunds, exchanges, voids, and debit memo management
- Deal Implementation: Operationalize newly signed airline deals in close partnership with the Supply team (e.g., mapping commercial terms to ticketing, content, servicing workflows)
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product and Engineering on our airline connectivity roadmap—particularly on NDC capabilities, workflows, and servicing automation
- Building and Scaling: Coordinate with internal and external (BPO) operations teams to build and scale a high-performing air support model
- Workflow Documentation and Optimization: Document and refine air operations workflows to ensure consistency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
- Operational Monitoring and Issue Escalation: Monitor operational health and escalate GDS, airline, or fulfillment issues as needed
What You Bring
- Experience: 5–7+ years in airline or OTA operations, with hands-on experience in GDS systems (Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport)
- ARC Expertise: Deep knowledge of ARC processes, reporting, and air ticketing compliance
- NDC Experience: Experience implementing and supporting air connectivity, including NDC integrations
- Operational Expertise: Proven ability to bridge commercial agreements with operational execution
- Enablement: Familiarity working with both in-house and BPO support teams, including documentation and training
- Collaboration and Communication Skills:Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Attention to Detail: Process-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bonus Experience
- Experience with multi-market air fulfillment
- Familiarity with post-booking automation tools, agent desktops, or customer service platforms
- Background in supporting business travel (corporate or SMB focus)
Cash Compensation:
- The base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $160,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above
