Manager, Enterprise Applications (G&A)
GitLab is seeking a Manager of Enterprise Applications (G&A) with expertise in NetSuite and experience in working with Workday, Coupa, Zuora, Salesforce, Zip applications. This role will lead the G&A enterprise applications team overseeing the procure-to-pay lifecycle, ensuring seamless financial operations, compliance, and automation across GitLab’s business systems.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture and Applications, you will define and drive strategic automation, integrations, and compliance initiatives to optimize GitLab’s financial ecosystem, including taxation, revenue recognition, quarter-end close, financial reporting, and SOX compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the G&A applications team with a primary focus on NetSuite, ensuring its seamless operation and integration within GitLab’s financial ecosystem.
- Manage and scale a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance-first practices.
- Collaborate with Workday, Coupa, Zuora, Salesforce, and Zip teams, ensuring financial data consistency and alignment across business functions.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams to optimize procure-to-pay processes, quarter-end close, financial reporting, and taxation workflows.
- Ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness, implementing best practices in financial controls, reporting, and governance frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF, NIST, etc.).
- Enhance system integrations between key applications (NetSuite, Coupa, Workday, Salesforce, Zuora, and others) to improve automation and data consistency.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across GitLab’s financial systems.
- Support cross-functional projects that improve financial operations and reporting by leveraging insights from NetSuite and its related applications.
- Bring your experience in defining strategies to help shape the future state of GitLab’s financial systems, ensuring they align with business needs and industry best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise applications, IT, or ERP management, with 3+ years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company.
- Expertise in NetSuite is required with a focus in financial reporting, procurement, taxation, and cloud monetization.
- Proven ability to define and execute financial systems strategies, driving modernization and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance, audit processes, and quarter-end close financial operations.
- Experience managing cross-functional IT applications, focusing on financial operations, legal, and G&A teams.
- Deep knowledge of procure-to-pay workflows, financial system integrations, and automation strategies.
- Strong change management skills with the ability to drive transformation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional financial applications and collaborating with key stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, and Procurement.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to build, mentor, and develop global teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Go-To-Market executives.
About the Team
The Enterprise Applications team is responsible for GitLab’s critical financial and operational applications, including NetSuite, Coupa, and Zip. This team ensures that GitLab’s financial operations, procurement, and compliance processes scale effectively while maintaining a stable, secure, and efficient application ecosystem.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
