Overview
Scout is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Field Logistics Operations to oversee the partnership and operational execution with vehicle processing and inventory management providers. These suppliers, with multiple facilities across the U.S., will conduct vehicle processing services—receiving, storing, inspecting, and preparing finished vehicles for final retail delivery.
The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end onboarding process for this supplier, establish clear and actionable Statements of Work (SOWs), activate and manage operations at each location, and build a local field team to oversee daily execution. The role requires cross-functional coordination with internal Scout Motors stakeholders and third-party leadership to ensure performance, compliance, and customer readiness at all processing locations.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Scout and the third-party processing provider(s).
- Support contract development with and lead the onboarding of the third-party partner(s), including process design, contract and SOW development, and systems integration.
- Develop and execute rollout plans to activate operations at each of the providers’ locations across the country.
- Coordinate with Scout Digital and Scout IT to ensure that Scout and vendor needs are clearly understood as the necessary systems are integrated and supporting tools developed.
- Coordinate with Scout internal departments (Logistics, Sales Operations, Quality, IT, etc.) to align requirements and launch readiness.
- Ensure each processing site is operating to Scout standards for vehicle handling, storage, and delivery preparation.
- Monitor site-level performance through KPIs and regular audits; drive continuous improvement with the supplier.
- Resolve operational issues in real-time, acting as the escalation point for field teams and supplier partners.
- As needed, support the development and implementation of Scout’s long-term North American truck and rail finished vehicle logistics strategy.
- Recruit, train, and manage a small field team of Scout representatives at each processing location.
- Empower field teams to serve as the eyes and ears of Scout at each site—ensuring adherence to Scout’s processes, brand standards, and customer expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence within the team.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between vehicle processing operations and broader logistics and delivery strategies.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with third-party provider leadership to ensure collaborative and effective operations.
- Regularly report progress, issues, and performance metrics to the Sr. Manager of Finished Vehicle Logistics and other key stakeholders.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based remotely within the United States. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company up to 50% of the time.
- Travel Required: Domestic and international. Driver's license required. Passport required.

- 7+ years of experience in automotive logistics, vehicle processing, or third-party operations management.
- Proven experience launching or managing multi-site logistics or vehicle processing operations.
- Strong understanding of vehicle delivery and inventory management workflows.
- Ability to build and lead geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficiency with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and load optimization tools.
- Experience working directly with OEMs and/or vehicle processing providers.
- A diverse history and skillset within automotive finished vehicle logistics operations that makes you both an operations generalist and capable of quickly grasping the detailed tasks necessary to manage all aspects of OEM sales operations.
- A desire to build from a clean sheet that is supported by a talent for creating process, defining tasks, and building alignment with numerous stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain healthy cross-functional relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and capabilities, augmented by a high degree of technical know-how and savvy with data and analytics tools.
- Intuitive ability to navigate organizational complexity and confidently lead strategic, data-driven discussions with management.
- Willingness to establish two-way lines of communication with front-line operations to gather market feedback and translate that into actionable insights to sharpen the company’s competitive position.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $145,000.00
Initial California base salary range = $132,000.00 - $159,500.00
