About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Financial Systems with a strong focus on Pigment, our core FP&A forecasting and planning software. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the overall administration, optimization, and strategic development of our Pigment platform, ensuring its effective utilization to drive accurate financial forecasting, insightful reporting, and efficient planning processes across the organization. You will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business leaders to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions leveraging Pigment.
What You'll Do:
Pigment Administration & Optimization:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert and administrator for the Pigment platform.
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of Pigment models, dashboards, and reports.
- Manage user access, security roles, and data governance within Pigment.
- Monitor Pigment performance and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Stay current with Pigment updates, new features, and best practices, evaluating and implementing relevant enhancements.
System Development & Implementation:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new forecasting models, planning processes, and reporting capabilities within Pigment.
- Translate complex financial requirements into technical specifications for Pigment configurations.
- Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Manage Pigment integration points with other financial systems (e.g., ERP, HRIS, Snowflake, ATS, etc.) to ensure data accuracy and flow.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate financial planning and analysis processes leveraging Pigment's capabilities.
- Partner with FP&A leadership to define strategic roadmap for Pigment, aligning with overall financial objectives.
- Provide expert-level support to end-users on Pigment functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance.
Data Integrity & Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data within Pigment.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks in Pigment to provide actionable insights to management.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems administration, FP&A operations, or a similar role.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience specifically with Pigment (implementation, administration, development, and support) and/or Anaplan is strongly preferred. Experience implementing other FP&A forecasting tools (Adaptive, Mosaic, Hyperion, etc) will be considered if there is significant experience in implementation, administration, and development in these tools.
- Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with other financial systems (e.g., ERPs like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle; GL systems) and data integration concepts with other software application systems (ATS, HRIS, data lakes, etc).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of SaaS company metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, etc) and/or experience with a SaaS company is a strong plus.
- Prior experience working in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a strong plus.
