As a Manager, Sales, you drive growth and accelerate Platform.sh’s market presence in the DACH region. Your deep understanding of local business culture, paired with your sales acumen, positions you as a trusted advisor to prospects, customers, agencies, and partners. You take ownership of the entire sales cycle—engaging leads, nurturing relationships, and closing strategic deals—ensuring a seamless transition to post-sales teams.
You thrive on building meaningful connections, tailoring value-driven solutions, and translating complex needs into clear opportunities. As the face of Platform.sh in the DACH region, you don’t just meet targets—you set new standards, always pushing for long-term, sustainable growth.
You report directly to the General Manager of Sales for DACH & Channel and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver impactful customer experiences.

Territory Strategy: Develop and execute a territory plan for Germany, Austria, and the German-speaking part of Switzerland, prioritizing in-person engagements like meetings, presentations, and industry events.

Sales Ownership: Manage the full sales cycle—from initial prospecting and qualification through to deal closure and handover to post-sales teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product support, sales engineering, and other internal teams to ensure a cohesive and supportive customer journey.

Tailored Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling product demos to customers and partners (including agencies and system integrators), independently or alongside a Solutions Architect.

Market Insight & Positioning: Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and product innovations to position Platform.sh effectively.

Customer & Partner Engagement: Build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders through culturally attuned and consistent communication.

Event Participation: Represent Platform.sh at regional events, contributing to brand visibility and thought leadership.

Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate Salesforce records, forecast reliably, and communicate sales progress and insights to leadership.

Revenue Growth: Drive new subscription revenue by developing a healthy pipeline, owning your territory strategy, and exceeding sales goals.

People Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a small team of Sales Executives, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and professional development support.
- Travel Expectations: Travel frequently (50–60%) within the DACH region to support your sales efforts and deepen relationships on the ground.

DACH Market Expertise: 5+ years of success in technology-focused enterprise sales, with deep and demonstrable experience working specifically within the DACH region. A strong understanding of the local business culture, etiquette, and decision-making processes is essential.

Proven Sales Performance: A strong track record of exceeding quotas, acquiring new customers, and expanding strategic accounts.

Business Insight: Passion for solving clients' business challenges by leveraging technology, combined with self-direction and resourcefulness, and a strong understanding of the DACH market's specific needs and opportunities.

Tech Fluency: Comfortable navigating technical conversations and understanding emerging technologies, particularly in cloud and web solutions.

Pipeline Generation: Demonstrated ability to generate and manage a high-quality pipeline through active prospecting, relationship building, and market engagement.

Bilingual Communication: Fluent in German (native-level preferred) and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Collaborative Spirit: A team-first mindset, able to work autonomously while staying aligned with a global team.

Sales Methodologies: Skilled in solution and value selling; familiarity with MEDDIC/MEDDPICC is a strong advantage.

CRM Proficiency: Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for tracking and reporting.
