The role
As a Marketing Automation Developer Specialist, you will be the Subject Matter Expert in the configuration and development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, working closely with Marketing Automation Leads and/or Consultants.
Your core focus will be to:
- Apply advanced development and configuration using Salesforce Marketing Cloud products.
- Provide technical consulting for both client and internal projects.
- Create key technical solution designs and documentation.
- Ensure solutions follow best practices and meet expected standards in performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Role responsibilities
- Act as the main technical reference for solution design, configuration, development, and deployment.
- Develop custom solutions using JavaScript, AMPScript, GTL, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Create dynamic and personalized marketing assets such as emails, landing pages, web templates, forms, and custom preference pages.
- Configure and develop in: Marketing Cloud Engagement, Personalization, Customer Data Platform, Account Engagement, and Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
- Implement integrations via FTP, APIs (SOAP and REST), MC Connect, and SDKs (MobilePush, Content Builder).
- Perform data modeling.
- Implement Journey Builder Custom Activities.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud releases, new features, products, and deprecations.
- Mentor others in Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, configuration, and development.
- Execute internal processes such as PDI & OKRs, paid training, reimbursements, software licensing & vacation requests, absence notifications, timesheet submissions and adjustments, according to the company’s internal policies.

Minimum qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience with SFMC
- Experience with: REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPScript, GTL
Data Engineering:
- Designs, implements, and maintains complex data engineering solutions.
- Creates data pipelines to connect systems and organizations.
- Performs advanced data quality checks and corrections.
Programming / Software Development:
- Designs, codes, tests, documents, and refactors complex programs and integrations.
- Selects and applies software development tools and methods.
- Participates in peer code reviews and leads code quality discussions.
Problem Management:
- Investigates and resolves issues in systems, processes, and services.
- Defines and applies fixes and preventive actions.
- Analyzes trends to improve issue management processes.
Software Configuration:
- Designs, verifies, documents, and updates complex software configurations.
- Selects appropriate configuration tools and methods.
- Ensures outcomes align with agreed standards.
- Participates in and leads configuration reviews.
Certifications:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
Preferred qualifications
- Completed university degree in IT, Marketing, or related fields.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification
- Marketing Cloud Personalization Certification
- Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform Certification
