Solace
Marketing Designer
Job Description
Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families to experts who help them understand and take charge of their personal health.
🎨About the Role
As a marketing designer at Solace, you are responsible for bringing value to our users by designing the marketing of the healthcare experience of the future. You will be expected to distill complex ideas into beautiful, usable marketing—a role that requires equal parts clarity and creativity.
You will be held to high standards, but you will do some of the best work of your life here. This role is for the hungry, the ambitious, the curious and those who don't shy away from feedback.
Who are you? You are a talented designer who consistently delivers the highest quality work on timelines that would be unrealistic for most others. You get a rush from seeing your designs come to life with real users. You take pride in your creative vision, execution and communication skills, and you absorb feedback exceptionally well. You enjoy taking ownership and are stifled by large organizations.
This is a remote position for peoplebased in the United States only.
🔥About Solace (https://www.solace.health)
By harnessing the power of human connection through technology, Solace is transforming healthcare in the U.S.
Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate the system without help. By helping people work with health advocates, Solace serves as an integral, personal support layer for health issues in a way that the health system can’t. Using proprietary technology to match patients with experienced advocates, Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare and helps individuals and families make informed decisions that result in better outcomes.
Solace is a Series B startup founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures and Signalfire. We have a lean, fully-remote U.S. team distributed coast-to-coast.

What You’ll Do
Bring beauty and simplicity to complex ideas.
Produce high-quality, production-ready designs while creating a best-in-class experience.
Be autonomous. You’ll take full ownership of your work, and you take responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, marketing, and business folks to find elegant solutions to design challenges.
Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail and when to make low-fi sketches.
Actively contribute to testing to uphold the quality of implementation of your designs.
Learn and become a guardian of our consistent design framework and standards to bring the Solace brand to life.
What You Bring to the Table
Comfort with ambiguity.
Curiosity for all things beautiful. While we do not design for design's sake, your appreciation for the finer details matters. Good design isn't noticed, but felt; you deeply understand this concept.
Intuition on what it takes to create delightful, consumer-oriented experiences.
Exceptional skills with design tools. We worship at the altar of Figma, so your fluency is imperative.
A bias toward action and execution. You get nervous if you’re not sketching concepts, tweaking flows or polishing the designs that represent the big-thinking work.
Great communication skills that help you work with product and engineering to make product visions come to life.
2+ years of relevant experience designing consumer web products for desktop and mobile.
An online portfolio of your work.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
