Position Summary

As the Marketing Manager at Pipe17, you will be a key member of our marketing team, responsible for executing lifecycle marketing, integrated marketing campaigns, and elevating our market presence. You will own campaign execution, social media, content creation, and cross-functional project management. Working closely with our sales, product, and partner teams, you will execute impactful marketing programs that engage e-commerce merchants, generate demand, and accelerate pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation & Copywriting
    • Write blogs, white papers, case studies, video scripts, infographics, and more to fuel lead generation and brand credibility.
    • Incorporate SEO best practices and data-driven insights into content planning and production to improve discoverability and engagement.
    • In partnership with product marketing, create sales enablement materials, including training materials, pitch decks, battle cards, and other sales-related materials.
    • Write thoughtful, on-brand content that positions Pipe17 favorably within the e-commerce ecosystem, ensuring consistency in style and tone across all channels. This is not primarily a long-form writing role, but writing is a foundational skill that we will be looking for
    • Build, edit, and optimize website pages—including dedicated landing pages—to effectively convert content-driven traffic into qualified leads.
    • Ability to edit and adapt brand-specific assets in tools like Figma
  2. Marketing Execution
    • Execute full-funnel lifecycle marketing campaigns (email, paid media, webinars, events, etc.) that drive engagement and revenue at every stage of the customer journey. Create compelling, multi-channel content and ensure cohesive brand storytelling that addresses e-commerce pain points and resonates with target audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns seamlessly, continually refining content for maximum impact and engagement.
    • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales teams to create buyer-focused campaigns that address specific pain points across the e-commerce ecosystem.
    • Establish KPIs, track campaign performance, and optimize activities for better ROI and pipeline impact.
  3. Social Media Management
    • Own the social media accounts to drive engagement, thought leadership, and brand awareness across relevant platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.).
    • Create compelling social content that resonates with e-commerce merchants and B2B SaaS audiences.
    • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and audience insights to continuously refine tactics.
  4. Field Marketing Support
    • Collaborate with Sales and Demand Generation teams to plan, execute, and optimize in-person marketing initiatives (e.g., trade shows, conferences, partner events). Coordinate logistics, ensure brand consistency, manage vendor relationships, and track post-event leads to maximize ROI.
  5. Analytics & Optimization
    • Measure the performance of campaigns and channels (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.), translating data into actionable recommendations.
    • Report on key metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, etc.) to leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas of opportunity.
    • Continuously test new tactics and channels, refining strategies to maximize ROI and meet growth targets.
    • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • 5–7+ years of relevant marketing experience, with a strong background in B2B SaaS as well as 2+ years with e-commerce software.
    • Proven track record managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, social media programs, and content initiatives.
    • Experience in an early-stage startup environment is strongly preferred; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
    • Experience with supporting field events spanning owned and sponsored events.
    • Some knowledge of Order Management / Digital Commerce is preferred.

Writing

    • While this is not a long-form writing role, we want someone who can coherently write without the use of AI. From one sentence to an occasional blog post, the candidate needs to be able to write

Visual design

    • PowerPoint and Google Slides - building and editing PowerPoint and presentation design.
    • Figma image creation experience.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency with common marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics, social media schedulers).
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization.
    • Ability to coordinate with designers and external agencies to produce compelling creative assets.
    • Experience editing and building web pages. Experience with Wordpress is a plus.
    • Proven ability to plan, execute, and refine copy and asset testing to continually optimize content performance.
    • Working knowledge of Figma or other graphic design software.
