We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Team Leader to manage our B2B marketing research function and contribute directly to pipeline generation efforts. This role combines people leadership with hands-on execution—managing two marketing research specialists, researching prospective buyers, crafting outbound email campaigns, and supporting broader marketing initiatives across the global marketing and sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and support two marketing research specialists, providing daily oversight, coaching, and professional development to ensure alignment with team goals.
- Prospect Research & List Building: Lead the research and development of high-quality contact lists of prospective buyers using firmographic data, buyer intent signals, and industry segmentation. Ensure lists are accurate, relevant, and aligned to strategic sell-in opportunities.
- Ensure Insight Quality: Review research outputs to ensure they deliver actionable insights that directly support sales, marketing, and product decision-making.
- Pipeline Generation: Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify priority segments and develop targeted prospecting lists that feed outbound efforts.
- Email Campaign Development: Create and manage personalized, insight-driven outbound email campaigns designed to engage key decision-makers and drive pipeline growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with product marketing, demand generation, and strategy teams to align research priorities with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve research processes, tools, and team efficiency.
- Marketing Operations Support: Assist with marketing operations tasks such as maintaining database quality, data hygiene importing leads, tracking email performance metrics.
- Optimize Processes: Streamline research workflows, manage project timelines, and identify opportunities to improve research processes, recommend tools or platforms to improve efficiency and impact.
- Support Marketing Team: Pitch in on ad-hoc marketing tasks as needed—such as RFP responses, content research, performance reporting—to support wider team objectives and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of marketing or research experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong B2B prospecting skills, with hands-on experience researching and developing high-quality contact lists using data and research tools.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in crafting persuasive, targeted email content.
- Experience with audience segmentation, email marketing strategy, and pipeline-building tactics.
- Familiarity with marketing operations functions such as lead management, data hygiene, and email tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Tools & Experience:
- Experience with outreach and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesloft, Outreach, Salesforce, Pardot).
- Familiarity with research tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Crunchbase, or similar.
- Bonus: Experience with email automation, A/B testing, and marketing analytics.
