Role Overview

Join Turing as an Mobility & Immigration Partner to ensure seamless global mobility and compliance for our international workforce. You will collaborate closely with People Operations, Legal, Finance and Talent teams to support team member relocations, visa processes, and international assignments, helping us create an exceptional remote-first team member experience.

Key Responsibilities

Immigration Strategy & Compliance

  • Develop and execute immigration strategies for the US, the UK, India, and Brazil.
  • Manage end-to-end immigration processes (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, green cards, local permits).
  • Liaise with immigration counsel and government agencies to resolve complex cases.
  • Monitor changes in immigration laws and ensure ongoing compliance.

Internal Mobility

  • Design and manage a structured internal mobility program to support cross-border transfers, relocations, and short- or long-term assignments.
  • Advise business leaders and team members on feasibility, timing, and logistics of cross border moves.
  • Ensure a consistent and compliant experience for internal talent transitions across offices and countries.

Team Member Support

  • Serve as the main point of contact for team members on mobility and immigration matters.
  • Educate team members on visa options, timelines, and next steps.
  • Support onboarding of international hires and internal transfers.

Work Authorization & Verification

  • Manage work authorization documentation and verification processes (e.g., I-9 in the US).
  • Implement scalable systems for tracking visa expirations and renewals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate employment eligibility documentation across countries.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Support leadership on global expansion plans and talent relocation strategies.
  • Global Impact: Directly influence how a global remote-first workforce navigates international borders and thrives.
  • Be a Strategic Partner: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to align on broader hiring and operational goals and high-impact mobility initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in immigration and global mobility roles, at least 3 years at scaling start ups
  • Deep knowledge of international immigration regulations and global mobility best practices
  • Experience with remote-first or multinational companies (US, Brazil, India, and the UK are a must)
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working across time zones and adapting to rapidly changing needs
