The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-oriented RxLink Patient Support Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for answering patient inquiries regarding the RxLink medication affordability program phone and email. You will assist patients with understanding how the program and discounts work, troubleshooting issues with use of the card and our portal, and providing general information on how to save on prescription medications. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
What you'll do:
Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels regarding the RxLink medication affordability program
Explain how the discount offers work, including savings options, eligibility, and how to use it at participating pharmacies
Explain how manufacturer provided offers work, including which patients are eligible and any restrictions on offer usage
Assist patients with troubleshooting issues such as card usage problems or gaining access to our portal
Research optimal ways to save for patients who are challenged in using our SMS offers or portal, taking into account their unique situations including insurance
Provide accurate and up-to-date information on participating pharmacies and available discounts
Offer clear and concise explanations of any promotional offers or terms associated with the discount card
Help patients understand how to maximize their savings when using the card for prescription medications and the implications of using the card in relation to their existing insurance
Document patient interactions, maintain accurate records, and track follow-up actions as necessary
Escalate more complex issues to higher-level support or management when appropriate
Continuously improve knowledge of pharmacy discounts, the pharmacy industry, and our services to better serve patients
Continuously improve knowledge of RxLink offerings, including becoming quickly acclimated with the details and implications for patients of any new offerings or features
Provide exceptional patient service, demonstrating patience, professionalism, and empathy in all communications
What you'll bring:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Previous experience in patient service, particularly in healthcare or pharmacy-related roles, is a plus
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
Proficiency in using computer systems, email, and phone systems
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and discount card programs is beneficial but not required
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle patient concerns with empathy and professionalism
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet performance goals
A positive, friendly attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent patient service
