Job Description

What Makes Us Unique

At Cloudbeds, we're not just building software, we’re transforming hospitality. Our intelligently designed platform powers properties across 150 countries, processing billions in bookings annually. From independent properties to hotel groups, we help hoteliers transform operations and uplevel their commercial strategy through a unified platform that integrates with hundreds of partners. And we do it with a completely remote team. Imagine working alongside global innovators to build AI-powered solutions that solve hoteliers' biggest challenges. Since our founding in 2012, we've become the World's Best Hotel PMS Solutions Provider and landed on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 again in 2024 – but we're just getting started.

How You'll Make an Impact:

As a Payments Enablement Specialist, you will champion Cloudbeds Payments adoption for new and growing PMS customers across Europe, serving as the resident payments expert within regional sales pods. You will craft and execute merchant-migration playbooks that blend ROI calculators, objection-handling scripts, and country-specific “switch kits” for UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, and other priority EU markets. By applying proven displacement tactics—total-cost-of-ownership analyses, feature-by-feature comparisons, multi-year pricing guarantees, and white-glove onboarding—you will persuade hoteliers to leave entrenched acquirers for Cloudbeds’ white-label platform and drive adoption of 60% or higher. Partnering closely with GTM, onboarding, and risk teams, you will pre-stage underwriting, hardware provisioning, and expectation-setting to shorten time-to-activation and maximize payments attachment and transaction volume across the region.

Our Cloudbeds Payments Strategy Team:

Our payments strategy team rallies around a single mission: elevating Cloudbeds’ high-margin revenue by boosting customer adoption through innovative features, education campaigns, and relentless new-sale attachments. We work like a modern Knights-of-the-Round-Table—risk, finance, product, engineering, and leadership meet frequently in a judgment-free zone where every voice carries equal weight and the best ideas win. Action-oriented self-starters who are fearless about sharing bold ideas and laser-focused on measurable outcomes feel right at home here.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 5+ years in embedded / white-label payments (Adyen for Platforms, Stripe Connect, Worldline, Global Payments, etc.) with a quota or enablement mandate.
  • Documented success migrating, cross-selling, and upselling EU merchants off incumbent acquirers and lifting payments attach ≥ 60 %.
  • Excellent understanding of the hotel technology landscape and how payment transactions travel throughout a hotel’s entire ecosystem
  • Working mastery of EU regulations – PSD2, SCA, SEPA, card-scheme rules, lodging MCC quirks, and chargeback frameworks.
  • Analytical sales toolkit – comfortable building interchange-plus comparisons, FX-fee models, and board-ready business cases.

What Sets You Up for Success:

  • Consultative, first-principles thinker who uncovers pain points (reconciliation, chargebacks, FX leakage) and maps them to Cloudbeds’ capabilities.
  • End-to-end operator – has led sandbox trials, customer webinars, P2PE device roll-outs, and go-live monitoring to ensure promises become reality.
  • Skilled collaborator who bridges GTM, onboarding, risk, and product teams to unblock complex EU deals.
  • Entrepreneurial bias for action suited to a high-growth, remote-first SaaS culture; captures learnings and publishes enablement content.
  • Engaging storyteller able to host webinars, trade-show demos, and onsite workshops that inspire hoteliers to modernize payments.

Bonus Skills to Stand Out (Optional):

  • Existing network with EU acquiring banks, ISOs, PSPs, or hospitality tech vendors.
  • Familiarity with EU VAT nuances in hospitality and how payments flows impact ADR and RevPAR metrics
  • Proficiency with DealHub for pipeline-to-activation analytics and churn prediction.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
