What’s the opportunity?
As our Payouts Senior Associate, you will serve as a key expert within the Payouts team, ensuring operational excellence, resolving complex issues, and supporting critical merchant rollouts. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in the payouts process, contribute to risk mitigation, and help drive automation initiatives. You’ll also provide mentorship and technical support to associates, helping build the team's expertise and effectiveness.
- Own complex payment flows and handle high-priority transactional issues, acting as the first point of escalation for associates.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-value or high-risk payouts, especially during merchant go-lives or high-impact events.
- Work with Treasury, Compliance, and providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Support the team leader in maintaining robust control frameworks by performing reconciliations, validating exception reports, and proactively identifying gaps.
- Contribute to SOX compliance efforts by maintaining process documentation and supporting audit requests.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and IT teams to test, validate, and roll out automation improvements.
- Analyze transactional data to identify inefficiencies and propose enhancements to reduce manual workloads and improve SLA adherence.
- Coordinate with Sales Ops, Customer Support, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and ongoing payout operations.
- Support onboarding of new associates through coaching and maintain internal documentation to strengthen operational continuity.
- Build strong provider relationships to drive issue resolution, align on strategic goals, and implement operational enhancements.
- Regularly review provider performance and identify opportunities for improvement in cost, SLA, and operational efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in payments, finance operations, treasury, or a related function
- Deep understanding of transactional processes, payment rails, and reconciliation principles
- Strong analytical mindset, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Basic knowledge of SQL or reporting tools
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and coordinating across multiple time zones
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and solution-focused
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX) is a strong plus
- Knowledge of the PIX system is a strong advantage
