About the role:
We are looking for a Communications and PR Director to develop and implement effective PR strategies across Europe. Our vision is to combine our global resources with strong local talent and insight to become the most widely used and recognized crypto platform in the world. You will be central to how we achieve this by leveraging your comms/PR experience in the region while also contributing to strategy and implementation of global initiatives.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, deep understanding of multi-stakeholder marcomms for B2B and B2C, and an ability to drive impactful storytelling and plan effectively. Native crypto knowledge is a plus; the ability and passion to learn about crypto and blockchain is a must.
What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and implement effective/creative strategic PR plans in coordination with key stakeholders in local markets, marketing, product, legal, compliance and others
  • Be an integral member of our global comms/PR team, contributing to global initiatives, steering projects to completion, and helping to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and amplify PR opportunities with our global partners including McLaren F1 Team and Manchester City Football Club, driving coverage and visibility in media and amongst potential users
  • Manage PR agency's efforts to maximize effectiveness in support of (1) regional comms/PR initiatives and (2) global comms/PR initiatives that we would like to amplify across Europe
  • Create opportunities to place stories in all types of media, especially tier-one general media and crypto publications
  • Drive coverage volume through effective media strategy, pitching, interviews and media relations
  • Write PR plans and PR material for announcements and key initiatives
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential industry peers
  • Ensure brand consistency in all efforts
  • Track and influence media coverage
What We Look For in You:
  • 12-15 years experience in PR and Communications with exposure in the financial services, technology or fintech industries – crypto experience strongly preferred
  • Team management experience
  • Proven work experience and success in a senior public relations role – a mix of agency and in-house is ideal
  • Solid experience creating and executing successful global and regional PR campaigns resulting in high impact storytelling
  • Deep media contacts across business, financial, crypto trade and TV
  • Experience with investment and financial communications
  • Fluent in English; other language fluency is an advantage
  • An entrepreneurial attitude and a love of crypto
  • Agile working style and ability to 'deliver and get the job done' while maintaining good stakeholder relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related fields

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
