Responsibilities:
This software engineering role is focused on hands-on coding and technical leadership for one of our critical components in the Banyan platform. The API is the control plane of the Banyan Zero Trust product, the central place of orchestration of actions through our distributed system. The role will also include contributing to the overall platform architecture, balancing performance, reliability, and extensibility objectives while delivering features to our customers.
This role will also provide technical leadership for our offshore Go engineering team, requiring strong communication and the ability to lead through time zones.
What we are looking for:
● Lead our API as a product
● Collaborate with engineers on a vision but follow a pragmatic plan
● Ensure API security and lead secure coding practices
● Ensure API documentation is created and remains up to date
● Provide mentorship to a growing team
● Provide an opinion on CI/CD/CT
What we need:
● API Design
● Code reviews
● Core Go Code contributor
● SaaS application development best practices
● Support end-to-end management of the APIs over their entire lifecycle
● Be able to distill business objectives into technical solutions through effective system design and architecture.
Education and Experience:
- At least 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 6 years’ experience; or equivalent experience preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
