Position overview
We are seeking a passionate UX Researcher to shape and define user experiences for our emerging digital experience platform product line. If you believe in the transformative power of user experience and have the drive to create elegant, powerful product experiences.
You will join a talented and diverse team of designers, researchers, content strategists, and service designers dedicated to helping Acquia grow its product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Research and Insights: Understand project goals and execute comprehensive research plans.
- Actionable Recommendations: Translate research insights into actionable guidelines for design and implementation.
- Study Preparation: Develop study plans, moderator guides, and other essential research artifacts.
- Data Synthesis: Analyze and report findings to teams and stakeholders, using storytelling and data visualizations.
- Participant Management: Recruit and schedule participants from various sources to match our target personas.
- User Research: Conduct usability studies, competitive analyses, and diary studies.
- Refine Personas: Update and refine user personas to guide product and design decisions.
- Collaborative Design: Partner with UX designers to iterate on design concepts based on research.
- Skill Development: Facilitate the growth of the research skills within the UX team.
Required skills
- Experienced Researcher: 1-3 years in both qualitative and quantitative user research across all stages: scoping, recruiting, data gathering, analyzing, and presenting.
- Design Understanding: Thorough understanding of design thinking, user-centered design, interaction design, and heuristics.
- Innovative Mindset: Eager to contribute to and drive brainstorming and iterative development.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work openly and collaboratively, documenting insights to inform design visions.
- Insightful Analyst: Driven to uncover and clarify information, justifying decisions that enhance user experiences.
- Compelling Communicator: Proficiency in creating presentations, facilitating user sessions, and conveying insights through storytelling.
- Workshop Facilitator: Skill in preparing and leading interactive workshops, ideation sessions, and data-driven decision-making.
- Self-Starter: High level of quality execution in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Extra Credit
- Experience with recruiting methods, tools, in-app guides and surveys, business intelligence (BI) tools, and customer journey management.
- SaaS Research: Experience researching SaaS products or services.
- Development Practices: Familiarity with agile software development best practices and cloud architecture.
- Enterprise Experience: Experience with enterprise software design/development.
