We’re looking for a passionate and collaborative product designer to help us design intuitive experiences for trust and safety products; specifically Product Safety experiences (reporting, blocking, content advisories, support interventions etc) creating solutions that help users accomplish their goals while meeting business and compliance requirements. You’ll design high quality and research informed experiences that help keep Pinterest safe so that people can continue to discover, collect, and connect with things they love. You should be an excellent communicator, a self-starter, and be comfortable working closely with engineers, product managers, researchers, and content designers.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with other teams to turn big ideas into simple, beautiful, and easy to use products
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including UI flows, visual mocks, and prototypes that follow Pinterest’s design system
- Develop design concepts that put Pinterest users first, while helping us meet our business goals
- Apply UX best practices and internal guidelines and patterns to drive quality and consistency
- Collaborate with content designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and marketing to establish elegantly compliant design solutions
- Design solutions for iOS, Android, mobile web, and desktop web, working within the design systems and patterns native to each platform
- Rapidly ramp up in new contexts, workflows and processes, adapting to evolving priorities and project needs
- Participate in critique sessions and implement feedback to strengthen your designs
- Reflect on your work and actively seek out learning opportunities to grow your craft
What we’re looking for:
- A portfolio demonstrating your product design process and deliverables
- Ability to work directly with engineering to define requirements and proactively collaborate on and across cross-functional teams
- Confidence to work autonomously
- Experience in producing polished visual design work for digital products with attention to detail
- Adaptability to new teams, products and fast-changing environments
- Growth mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and self-reflection
- Willingness to accept feedback, experiment and iterate in a collaborative setting
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with cross-functional partners (product, research, engineering)
- Strong communication skills - you’re able to clearly share your ideas, rationale and design decisions with teammates across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as design, HCI, human-centered design or equivalent experience
- Experience in Trust & Safety is a plus
