About Stitch Fix, Inc.

Stitch Fix (NASDAQ: SFIX) is the leading online personal styling service that helps people discover the styles they will love that fit perfectly so they always look - and feel - their best. Few things are more personal than getting dressed, but finding clothing that fits and looks great can be a challenge. Stitch Fix solves that problem. By pairing expert stylists with best-in-class AI and recommendation algorithms, the company leverages its assortment of exclusive and national brands to meet each client's individual tastes and needs, making it convenient for clients to express their personal style without having to spend hours in stores or sifting through endless choices online. Stitch Fix, which was founded in 2011, is headquartered in San Francisco.

About the Team

At Stitch Fix, we’re transforming the way people find what they love by combining technology, data science, and the human instincts of a Stylist. The Discovery & Engagement team plays a pivotal role in this journey by shaping the first impressions and ongoing experiences that help our clients uncover their personal style and deepen their relationship with Stitch Fix.

We sit at the intersection of human creativity and algorithmic precision—collaborating closely with our Merchandising, Marketing, and Styling partners to deliver style discovery experiences that are both emotionally resonant and technically advanced. Our teams blend fashion intuition with data-driven insights to curate inspiring, trend-right assortments that feel personal and fresh. Our team develops models that combine expert judgment and machine learning to power personalized, exploratory, and engaging experiences that help clients find what they love, faster.

As a product team, we bring this all to life by creating guided entry points, storytelling moments, and immersive discovery experiences that help clients express their style, connect with their stylist, and build a long-term relationship with Stitch Fix. Together, we’re reimagining the way people discover fashion—one meaningful interaction at a time.

About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic, customer-obsessed Product Manager to lead our Discovery & Engagement product efforts that reimagine how clients first connect with Stitch Fix and how we inspire them to explore, express, and evolve their personal style.

In this high-impact and highly cross-functional role, you’ll bring together the art of style and the scale of data science to build discovery and engagement experiences that are immersive, personalized, and emotionally resonant. You'll lead the strategy and roadmap for key initiatives that guide clients through their earliest interactions with Stitch Fix, helping them uncover their aesthetic, discover new trends, connect with their stylist, and build confidence in our styling expertise.

You’ll work closely with Design, Data Science, and Engineering to deliver innovative features like a redesigned Home Feed, content creation tools for internal teams and stylists to create engaging content experiences, and onboarding touchpoints that establish trust, excitement, and continued style understanding and refinement for new clients. Your work will drive deeper engagement, longer-term retention, and continuous style refinement that grows with our clients as their preferences and needs evolve over time.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how style discovery happens at Stitch Fix—combining editorial inspiration, intelligent recommendation systems, and a deep understanding of Client needs to deliver experiences that are as smart as they are stylish.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Define and own the long-term strategy and roadmap for Stitch Fix’s discovery and engagement experiences, collaborating with Design, Engineering, and Data Science to shape how clients uncover their personal style, express themselves, and build enduring relationships with our platform.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives such as the Home Feed redesign, onboarding experience evolution, and content creation tools—each crafted to inspire discovery, build trust, and maximize early tenure success while supporting long-term retention and style refinement.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Styling, and Marketing to develop intuitive tools and storytelling surfaces that bring trend-aligned content, curated collections, and personalized experiences to life for our clients.
  • Drive cross-functional product discovery to validate the most important client problems and reduce risk across value, usability, feasibility, and business viability before scaling investments.
  • Guide the development of scalable, real-time discovery experiences powered by AI-driven recommendations, fashion context, and behavioral signals that reflect the evolving style journey of each client.
  • Continuously improve personalization and engagement by integrating insights from user behavior, qualitative research, and experimentation—ensuring clients feel seen, understood, and inspired.
  • Build alignment across senior leaders and partner teams through clear storytelling that connects product strategy to client needs and business impact, ensuring proposed solutions create client value and are viable.
  • Foster a culture of shared discovery and creativity across Design, Engineering, and Data Science, where problem spaces are co-owned, client empathy drives decisions, and learning is continuous.
  • Measure what matters—defining and tracking success metrics related to engagement, profile enrichment, and retention, and using them to prioritize, communicate trade-offs, and guide decision-making.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 8 years of product management experience, including leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives that drive meaningful improvements in personalization, engagement, and client retention.
  • You are a strong practitioner of modern product discovery—skilled at identifying the highest-impact problems to solve, validating assumptions early, and guiding teams through ambiguity with focus and clarity.
  • You think in systems, not just features, and bring a long-term perspective to building scalable solutions that connect strategy, technology, and customer value.
  • You are an exceptional collaborator and communicator, experienced in working across Design, Engineering, Data Science, and business partners to co-create product strategies and execute with alignment.
  • You combine an eye for fashion-forward storytelling with a love of data and experimentation, and you are comfortable toggling between creative thinking and analytical rigor.
  • You blend creative intuition with analytical rigor, equally comfortable shaping a compelling storytelling experience or guiding experimentation to optimize engagement and conversion.
  • You are energized by working at the intersection of fashion and technology, and you care deeply about helping clients feel confident, inspired, and connected to their style.

Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix...

  • We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. We value integrity, innovation and trust. You’ll bring these characteristics to life in everything you do at Stitch Fix.
  • We cultivate a community of diverse perspectives— all voices are heard and valued.
  • We are an innovative company and leverage our strengths in fashion and tech to disrupt the future of retail.
  • We win as a team, commit to our work, and celebrate grit together because we value strong relationships.
  • We boldly create the future while keeping equity and sustainability at the center of all that we do.
  • We are the owners of our work and are energized by solving problems through a growth mindset lens. We think broadly and creatively through every situation to create meaningful impact.
  • We offer comprehensive compensation packages and inclusive health and wellness benefits.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
