Job Description

Uniswap Labs builds products that help millions of people access DeFi simply and securely ‒ from the Uniswap Web App and Wallet to crypto infrastructure like the Uniswap Trading API, and Unichain. Uniswap Labs also contributes to the development of the Uniswap Protocol, which has processed over $2.9 trillion in volume across thousands of tokens on Ethereum and 12+ other chains.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and communicative senior product marketer to spearhead user research, develop detailed user personas, and drive the go-to-market strategy for the Uniswap Web App, Wallet and Extension.

This individual will work closely with our product, growth marketing, and content leads to bring new products to market, lead user and competitor research, and deliver creative, impactful, and relevant marketing campaigns.

This role requires a strong understanding of web2 and web3 marketing strategies, exceptional writing skills, experience with product positioning, user segmentation, and the ability to drive on creative messaging. This role is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to ensure that each feature update and launch is moving the needle for Uniswap.

Product Strategy:

  • Messaging & Positioning: Craft compelling product narratives and value propositions for our consumer apps that differentiates our users’ experience, and drives measurable business impact. Act as the primary strategic owner of messaging consistency across all channels and iterate based on user feedback and data. Partner with leadership to refine high-level positioning that aligns with company objectives.
  • Roadmap Prioritization: Work closely with the Product team to prioritize features and enhancements on the product roadmap, ensuring feedback is effectively communicated to product, design, and engineering teams with clarity and credibility. Independently assess trade-offs and make strategic recommendations that influence roadmap decisions, balancing user insights with business goals.

Marketing GTM:

  • Strategy Development: Create and own comprehensive marketing and go-to-market strategies for high-impact, large product upgrades and releases. Define target audience, positioning and messaging, rooted in clear objectives and insights. Leverage deep market insights and competitive analysis to ensure strategic differentiation.
  • Go-To-Market Execution: Implement and optimize GTM plans by partnering cross-functionally to launch new features and programs across various channels, driving product adoption and increasing brand sentiment. Drive measurable increases in user acquisition, engagement, and monetization.
  • Collaboration with Channel Owners: Partner with channel owners to develop and implement acquisition and retention strategies that align Uniswap-wide growth objectives and key business metrics. Influence cross-functional teams by providing thought leadership on best practices and performance-driven marketing tactics.

Research & Analysis:

  • User Research: Lead and independently design planning and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to develop and continuously refine detailed Uniswap retail user personas. Synthesize research into actionable recommendations that shape product and marketing strategies at an executive level.
  • User Segmentation: Partner with data science teams to proactively gain deep insights into user segments, monitoring and influencing user behavior and product usage through comprehensive analytics. Influence leadership decisions by identifying trends and opportunities through advanced analytics.
  • Competitive Analysis: Regularly monitor and research competitive products, value propositions, and market positioning, generating weekly reports with clear recommendations that impact both product and growth strategies. Serve as an internal expert on market trends, translating insights into competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Marketing experience working with technical B2C products, ideally in crypto or fintech
  • Obsessed with crypto, DeFi, and Web3 as transformative opportunities, with personal or professional experience using a self-custody wallet, engaging with dApps, NFTs, or participating in DAOs
  • Ability to lead through influence, develop strong relationships with technical teams, and drive alignment across teams
  • Incredibly clear written communication and desire to document everything
  • Very organized, able to stay on top of several moving projects at once

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
