About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Program Manager - AI to join our internal AI Prototyping team. This team sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and product innovation, rapidly translating business needs into AI-powered proof-of-concepts and prototypes. As a Program Manager, you will be the operational backbone of the team—ensuring seamless execution across a dynamic mix of customer-driven, product-driven, and internal AI innovation projects.

You’ll also play a strategic support role to Product Managers and technologists by conducting research that shapes our prototyping decisions—helping us stay ahead of market trends and avoid reinventing the wheel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Operational Management

  • Maintain the master prototyping backlog and roadmap, ensuring priorities reflect evolving business needs and requests from Turing Intelligence (TI) leadership.

  • Coordinate resourcing and workload across pods (PMs, developers, design technologists), keeping clear visibility into “who’s working on what.”

  • Facilitate team standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as needed to keep projects on track.

  • Create and manage lightweight but effective workflows for intake, scoping, and delivery of prototype work.

  • Track milestones and outcomes across projects and communicate updates clearly to R&D and Ti stakeholders.

  • Support the LaunchPad program by coordinating sessions, gathering feedback, and helping onboard new talent into prototype teams.

  • Partner with R&D operations or finance as needed for light-touch support around budget tracking, tooling access, and vendor onboarding.

  • Track and report on key metrics of success for the Prototyping group (e.g., throughput, proposal support, internal tool impact).

  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase the velocity and quality of prototype delivery.

2. Research & Intelligence Support

  • Investigate existing products and solutions for each new prototype request to inform build vs. buy recommendations.

  • Identify relevant market trends, emerging technologies, or tools that may enhance or replace internal development efforts.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to shape solution hypotheses, drawing from competitive analysis, industry publications, open-source tools, and academic research.

  • Maintain a shared knowledge base of external tools, platforms, and case studies relevant to AI-driven enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in a tech or innovation lab setting.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.

  • Proven experience conducting competitive research, technical landscape assessments, or trend analysis.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies or experience working in a technical R&D environment is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Why Join Us

You’ll help shape the future of applied AI at Turing by supporting the team that’s building the first version of what’s next. You’ll be joining a mission-driven group of builders who don’t just theorize about the future—we prototype it.

Advantages of joining Turing:

  • Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week)
  • Awesome colleagues (Surround yourself with top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc. as well as people with deep startup experience)
  • Competitive compensation

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
