The EMEA Public Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager of Public Relations and SVP of Public Relations in PR activities related to the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This person will be responsible for managing the various PR agencies that KnowBe4 contracts in the EMEA region. They will also be responsible for driving KnowBe4’s PR strategy across the region, while aligning with KnowBe4’s overall global PR strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Focused PR efforts on KnowBe4’s key and developing markets in the EMEA region – UK, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, the Nordics and France.
- Be the main point of contact for the PR agencies throughout the region, managing and instructing them on day-to-day activities, such as PR campaigns, media statements, research initiatives, media interviews and quotes from KnowBe4 spokespersons.
- Lead EMEA-wide coordination of PR programs, in sync with the global PR strategy and local market requirements.
- Work with EMEA-based teams of PR agencies to develop and approve content for articles, blogs, media response opportunities, media interviews, etc.
- Support KnowBe4’s media relations in the region, including directly and with agency support to help secure media coverage.
- Help to promote localization efforts and initiatives since you will be working with a variety of countries and cultures.
- Work closely with KnowBe4’s Channel Marketing team to publicize channel initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, English or similar. Experience is also considered in lieu of a college degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Public Relations. Tech and/or cybersecurity PR experience preferred
- Experience managing PR agencies.
- Experience working globally with a variety of cultures preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Superior communications skills.
- Experience working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize and respond to media opportunities quickly and efficiently.
- Current relationships with journalists preferred.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred.
