UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

Purpose of the Position:
The Registrar Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of academic programs and processes, contributing to the success of students. This role involves managing student records, coordinating various activities, and providing exceptional service to students and stakeholders.
Schedule:
- Sunday 12p-9p
- Mon-Wed 12:30p-9p
- Off Thursday
- Friday 11:30a-8p
- Sat 8:30a-5p
- Alternating Sundays and Fridays
*Core working hours align with the Eastern Time Zone (ET)
What you’ll do:
- Registrar Operational Support: Day-to-day operational assistance to the Registrar’s Office.
- Evaluate Transcripts: Determine the validity and accreditation of transcripts from high schools and post-secondary institutions.
- Handle Inquiries: Respond to student and department inquiries related to transcript collection and evaluations.
- Serve as a Liaison: Act as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders for transcript-related activities.
- Document Receipts: Record all received transcripts in the Campus Management System, adhering to compliance regulations.
- Assist with Student Issues: Resolve student issues and requests from various departments.
- Ensure Compliance: Audit documents related to student status changes to ensure completeness and compliance before processing. Ensure that all documents are compliant with institution and federal regulations. Uphold the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Federal Financial Aid guidelines (Title IV) and other applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- High School Diploma, any degree, or equivalent experience.
- Skills – time management, attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and accuracy.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Any degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above minimum requirements.
- 1-2+ years’ experience in customer service.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities – Anthology’s CampusNexus, student information systems, results-orientation, personal accountability and independence, and sensitivity to confidential information.
Compliance:
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows, all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations, including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
