Job Description

Research Analyst

Position Summary:

You will be joining a dynamic and rapidly expanding business where high-performing employees have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the company's growth. This role will allow you to leverage your advanced degree to support the development and commercialization of Oncology portfolios, assets, and brands. By integrating therapeutic, clinical, and commercial expertise, you will help clients make informed decisions with confidence.

Your responsibilities will include effective collection and analysis of market, competitor, and stakeholder information. This will support intelligence and insight engagements throughout our clients' product launch and life cycle. Given the global nature of your clients, this position requires a solid understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends. Additionally, knowledge of drug development and commercialization is highly desirable.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Data collection/Evidence Generation:
    • Primary Research: Conduct surveys to collect valuable data from stakeholders directly engaged in US healthcare and management & to gain insights into market trends and competitive positioning.
    • Secondary Research: Gather, analyze, and report on published information including but not limited to the FDA, NIH, Elsevier, MMIT and DRG.
  • Data Analysis & Validation:
    • Collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ensure data accuracy and address any issues that arise.
  • Data Reporting:
    • Collaborate with US-based teams to analyze findings, develop insights and implications, and create client presentations that tell a coherent, evidence-based story on the topics in focus.
    • Publish non-peer reviewed content focused on the US oncology market
    • Build standard deliverables using PowerPoint and Excel to effectively communicate these insights.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years or master’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience in Life Sciences: Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Microbiology, etc.
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience focused on oncology consulting/analytics.
  • Confident communication skills to work effectively with global colleagues and contribute to client reports.
  • Ability to contribute value-added insights to available information.

Other Required:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to present technical concepts to lay audiences, write analysis plans for projects, pitch ideas and influence internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively to solve complex problems and individually to research/advance areas of interest and exploration.

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years’ experience interpreting US life science agency (e.g. FDA, NCCN, etc.) oncology data
  • Experience in primary research in the pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience in managed markets and pharma market access ecosystem
  • Knowledge of payer marketing, drug development lifecycle and drug launch processes
  • Knowledge of oncology treatment pathways/paradigms
