About the Role:
Leverages expertise in interpreting laws, regulations, and industry guidance to design and deliver high-quality programs that balance market demands with effective risk management. Ensures that offerings are compliant with applicable regulations and adaptable and competitive in a dynamic market. Acts as a resource for the revenue teams to engage to work directly with the compliance teams of partners and prospects in resolving compliance concerns associated with new products and services.
What You Will Do:
- Regulatory Interpretation & Market-Driven Credit Design: Utilizes expertise to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidance (such as Dodd-Frank, OCC Asset Quality guidance and other financial regulations) in a market-driven and risk-informed way. Ensures that credit programs are designed to be both compliant and competitive, allowing the business to best meet the evolving demands of the market.
- Risk-Informed Decision Making: Applies deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management to develop credit programs that effectively balance regulatory compliance with risk tolerance. Guides business leaders in designing products that optimize risk-return profiles while meeting market needs.
- Product and Customer Solution Development: Works closely with fintech partners and internal teams including the second line of defense to design and implement compliant solutions for new products and customer engagements, ensuring they meet all relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
- Credit Program Innovation & Optimization: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Risk Management and Credit Administration to design, implement, and refine credit programs that support the company’s objectives. Ensures that credit products are competitive, market-responsive, and compliant by embedding risk considerations early in the program design process.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders and product teams, translating complex regulatory changes and guidelines into actionable insights. Works with fintech partners, the revenue teams, the second line of defense to provide market-driven, risk-informed recommendations that help the business adapt to shifting regulatory environments while meeting market demands.
- Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices: Continuously monitors changes in regulatory requirements and guidance. Ensures that credit programs are in full compliance with both domestic and international regulations. Develops and maintains best practices for interpreting and applying these regulations in a manner that aligns with the business strategy.
- Data-Driven Risk Analysis: Leverages data analytics to assess credit program performance and identify emerging risks. Utilizes market data, customer trends, and regulatory updates to provide actionable insights that improve program design and risk management.
- Continuous Improvement & Market Adaptation: Stays ahead of regulatory developments and market trends, driving continuous improvement in credit program designs. Proactively adapts credit offerings to address market shifts while maintaining a strong focus on regulatory adherence and risk mitigation.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provides thought leadership and guidance on regulatory changes, ensuring internal teams are well-versed in the latest rules and market developments. Shares insights to elevate the team’s understanding of how regulatory frameworks intersect with business goals.

What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
- 10 years of experience in consumer, commercial, credit or partner solutions risk management, or financial product design, with a strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of credit program design, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Expertise in interpreting and applying regulations (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank) in a practical, market-driven context.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to assess the impact of regulatory changes on credit products.
- Ability to develop risk-informed strategies that align with business needs and market demands
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate regulatory and market changes and design credit programs accordingly.
- Strong critical thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex challenges with a risk-aware approach.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range: $124,214.20 – $229,404.01
The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
