About the job
Twilio is looking for a Reporting and Analytics Manager to join our Sales Compensation team. You will have the responsibility of reporting, tracking and trending analysis through Tableau, Salesforce reporting, Xactly Analytics, and other Enterprise reporting tools and systems, in support of the Sales Compensation team and its operational effectiveness. Being a co-owner of these platforms and aiding in the monthly, quarterly, and other ad hoc commissions and credits reporting, you will play a critical role in the success and strategy of our Sales Compensation team. This role has high visibility, and provides detailed sales rep-related performance information to several internal Sales teams and senior Twilio Sales leadership.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Translate complex data into actionable insights through the development of intuitive dashboards, reports, and visual storytelling that supports strategic business decisions.
- Retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and present data using effective data visualization techniques.
- Apply advanced SQL and ETL skills, leveraging Salesforce and Presto, Heroku or other data warehousing tools to support data mining and reporting
- Use your proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLookup, and other advanced functions, to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Utilize your expertise in Salesforce and its reporting capabilities to design custom reports, build dashboards, and optimize data flows for accurate business insights.
- Execute technical tasks such as rule writing, development, troubleshooting, results analysis, process improvement, and validation.
- Maintain a strong customer focus and apply sound business acumen to effectively balance technical and business priorities.

*Required:
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Compensation in Software / Technology industry
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Tableau dashboard development (Tableau Desktop and Online)
- Process oriented: capable of developing high level analysis of data integrity issues
- Intimate understanding of sales incentive programs
- Excellence in structuring complex problems, developing solutions, and crafting recommendations concisely and effectively
Desired:
- Experience in Xactly or other Sales Incentive management programs
- Excellent project and program management skills
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate complex data models
- Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
Location
- This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 10% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation
*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $114,600.00 - $143,300.00.
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $121,400.00 - $151,700.00.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $134,800.00 - $168,500.00.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
