Job Description

TRM Labs is a blockchain intelligence company committed to fighting crime and creating a safer world. By leveraging blockchain data, threat intelligence, and advanced analytics, our products empower governments, financial institutions, and crypto businesses to combat illicit activity and global security threats. At TRM, you'll join a mission-driven, fast-paced team made up of experts in law enforcement, data science, engineering, and financial intelligence, tackling complex global challenges daily. Whether analyzing blockchain data, developing cutting-edge tools, or collaborating with global organizations, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

TRM Labs is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing APAC team, with a focus on the private sector across the region — specifically within the crypto ecosystem and fintech/financial institutions.

As an SDR, you will play a critical role in uncovering opportunities and generating pipeline across high-potential accounts in the APAC region. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about TRM’s mission to create a safer financial system in the crypto economy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings experience working at or selling into crypto-native companies, fintechs, or compliance-driven financial institutions.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role — we’re looking for a self-starter who can own outbound strategy, engage stakeholders at early stages of the sales cycle, and partner with Account Directors to build a scalable engine for growth.

🚀 The Impact You Will Have

  • Drive pipeline generation by identifying and qualifying crypto companies, fintechs, and financial institutions across the APAC region

  • Partner with Account Directors to prioritize key accounts and build roadmaps for outbound initiatives

  • Conduct deep research to uncover organizational structures, stakeholder roles, and key business drivers

  • Share TRM insights, intelligence use cases, and product value propositions tailored to the crypto and fintech sectors

  • Help streamline and shorten sales cycles by acting as a proactive liaison during early-stage prospect engagement

  • Operate a scalable growth engine to deliver high-quality, qualified opportunities to the sales team

🔍 What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in an SDR/BDR role, ideally selling into crypto companies, fintechs, or financial institutions

  • Proven success in outbound sales and pipeline generation in APAC markets

  • Strong knowledge or deep interest in crypto, blockchain, DeFi, compliance, or digital assets

  • Ability to navigate fast-paced sales cycles and communicate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel regionally within APAC to conferences (up to 3–4 times per quarter)

  • Excellent communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset

  • Self-motivated and autonomous — you’re comfortable taking ownership and driving results

  • Bonus: Proficiency in an additional APAC language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa) to support regional outreach and engagement

  • Tools experience preferred: Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slack, Google Suite

🌏 About the Team

TRM's APAC Sales Team has a fast-paced, positive, and high-ownership culture. While this role is focused on the private sector crypto and fintech landscape, you'll collaborate closely with teammates across both public and private sectors, working cross-functionally to help TRM become the go-to partner for risk intelligence in web3.

The team prioritizes speed and responsiveness — from replying to prospect communications quickly to acting fast on internal requests and customer feedback. We operate primarily across Singapore and Australian time zones, though occasional collaboration with global teams (including US-based colleagues) may require flexibility.

Slack is our central tool for both async and real-time communication, and the team meets regularly for weekly pipeline, forecast, and team calls. TRM also hosts recurring All-Hands and Founder AMA sessions to keep everyone connected to our broader mission and roadmap.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Returning prospect and customer communications within 24 hours at most, typically faster.
  • Raising any customer concerns to the relevant internal teams promptly
  • Responding to internal requests (asks re: customer, prospect, and market information that can range from small to large projects) as quickly as possible.

  • Take on high-impact challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Thrive in a culture of coaching, where feedback is fast, direct, and built to help you level up. We expect everyone to both give and receive feedback as part of how we get better—together.

That said, TRM may not be the right fit for everyone. If you're optimizing for work life balance, we encourage you to:

  • Be honest with yourself about what energizes you—and what drains you

We’re upfront about this because we want every new team member to thrive—not just survive.

If you enjoy solving tough problems and seeing your work make a difference for billions of people, we want you here. Don’t worry if your experience doesn’t perfectly match a job description— we value passion, problem-solving, and unique career paths. If you’re excited about TRM’s mission, we want to hear from you.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
