ABOUT THE ROLE
Sales Executive of Agency Partnerships will manage relationships with Instacart’s Independent advertising agency partners. You will partner with cross functional teams to align on CPG advertiser and Agency priorities and deliver on targets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, can work in a fast-paced growing company, and has experience in ad sales, ideally paid search and retail media marketing.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Instacart’s Agency Development team works with our agency, API and channel partners. These partners are very important to our ads business as they advise and influence our brand partners investment on Instacart. The team’s remit is to act as strategic consultants to accelerate revenue growth from these Agency Partners. The team works closely with internal cross functional partners from sales, product, comms, marketing, insights and analytics to drive value and excitement in the market for agencies.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Business centric mindset and understanding of client goals for succeeding in a rapidly growing retail media space
- Deliver on individual and team sales goals
- Develop sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to Agency & CPG Brand advertisers
- Develop and maintain relationships with independent advertising agencies
- Uncover new business opportunities and connect with the Brand Partnership team
- Build executive level relationships and deploy scaled initiatives to ensure alignment across Instacart positioning and products
- Create data-backed proposals for up to multi-million dollar contracts for digital advertising
- Solutions oriented champion for Instacart inside these agencies
- Lead annual planning and budgeting process with agencies
- Negotiate and manage master services agreements and joint business plans
- Partner with sales, insights, analytics, product and engineering teams to shape the future of our advertising products and improve education at the agency
ABOUT YOU
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years sales experience
- Search auction understanding and experience
- Commercial/financial and data based thinker
- Client relationship builder with executive presence
- Understanding of CPG and Agency industries
- Ability to stay calm in dynamic, rapidly-changing environments
- Strong time management & organizational skills
- Client presence and persuasiveness
- Metrics orientation - can get up to speed on search/ad metrics quickly
- Client service orientation - fast follow ups, general sense of urgency
- Great storyteller when building decks
- Must be open to travel

- Technical API experience
