dbt Labs is hiring a Sales Operations Manager focused on sales compensation to own and scale our sales commission processes and tools. This role sits within our centralized Revenue Operations team and is critical to ensuring our sales team is rewarded accurately, fairly, and on time. You'll take ownership of our commission systems, partner with finance and sales leadership on plan implementation, and ensure smooth execution across all compensation workflows.

What You’ll Do:
- Own the end-to-end administration of our sales compensation platform (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or similar).
- Work closely with Finance, Sales, and RevOps to implement and maintain compensation plans that align with company goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate calculation, validation, and payout of monthly/quarterly commissions.
- Maintain documentation, rules, and audit trails for all compensation-related activities.
- Respond to inquiries from sales reps and managers around commission calculations and plan structures.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support compensation plan rollouts, updates, and change management.
- Build reporting dashboards to track compensation effectiveness and performance-to-plan.
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
- 3+ years experience managing sales compensation processes or tools in a Sales or Revenue Operations function.
- Strong hands-on experience with sales commission software (Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, etc.).
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills for manual commission validation and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, with a high bar for data accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to clearly communicate compensation processes to sales reps and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working with Salesforce or CRM-integrated comp systems.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.
Compensation Range
$160,000 - $194,000 USD
