Overview
As a Salesforce Developer, you play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support business needs. You work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders, to ensure that the Salesforce environment is optimized for efficiency, scalability, and performance. You are responsible for coding, integrating third-party applications, automating business processes, and ensuring the overall security and quality of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions, including Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, and API integrations.
- Develop and maintain automation processes using Salesforce automation tools such as Flows working to retire legacy automations like Process Builder and Workflow Rules.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Business Analysts, and other developers to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Implement and manage third-party integrations, such as ERP, marketing automation tools, and customer support platforms, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Maintain and improve data integrity by implementing best practices for data governance, deduplication, and validation rules.
- Optimize Salesforce applications for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality code and minimize technical debt.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, evaluate new features, and implement updates in a sandbox environment before production deployment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, development processes, and best practices.
- Support end-users by troubleshooting issues, providing training, and enhancing user adoption.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL.
- Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP web service APIs for integrations with external applications.
- Understanding of Salesforce security and sharing rules, including profiles, roles, and permission sets.
- Familiarity with Salesforce automation tools such as Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git and CI/CD processes.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Developer certification (Platform Developer I or II) is highly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience working with data migration and ETL tools such as Jitterbit, MuleSoft, or Talend.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using project management tools like Jira.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
