As an SDET-IV at Interface.ai, you’ll be a cornerstone of our Quality Assurance team, driving the quality strategy for our cutting-edge Conversational AI platform that powers intelligent virtual assistants for financial institutions. You’ll lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced test automation frameworks, ensuring our AI-driven solutions are robust, scalable, and delightful for millions of users across the globe.
This isn’t just about writing test scripts—it’s about owning quality end-to-end. You’ll collaborate closely with our AI engineers, product teams, and platform architects to embed quality into every layer of our Agentic AI platform. From testing real-time interactions (like WebSockets and server-sent events) to ensuring the reliability of our Voice models and APIs, you’ll solve complex challenges at the intersection of AI and fintech.

What You’ll Do
- Lead Test Strategy: Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for Interface.ai’s Conversational AI platform, covering functional, performance, security, and scalability aspects.
- Build Automation Frameworks: Design and develop advanced, reusable test automation frameworks beyond Selenium, PlayWright, TestNG, Appium or RestAssured. We focus on custom solutions tailored to our AI-driven workflows.
- AI-Specific Testing: Create innovative testing approaches for NLP & Voice models, intent recognition, and dialogue flows, ensuring our virtual assistants perform flawlessly under real-world conditions.
- Innovation: We truly believe the next chapter of test automation with AI tools is going to be revolutionary, you will be part of this innovation lab to redefine Quality assurance in the new world
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of quality for critical initiatives, from crafting detailed test plans to executing them across CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions).
- Mentor & Collaborate: Guide junior SDETs and developers in adopting AI tools and best practices, while partnering with cross-functional teams to solve system-wide quality challenges.
- Performance & Scale: Design and execute load, stress, and latency tests for our distributed systems, ensuring they withstand the demands of high-volume financial transactions.
- Documentation & Innovation: Maintain meticulous documentation of test architectures and lead POCs (Proof of Concepts) for new tools, frameworks, or languages to keep our QA practices cutting-edge.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: At least 7+ years in software testing, with 4+ years as an SDET building automation frameworks in a product or platform environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- High Proficiency in Java (or similar languages like Python) for test automation, with deep knowledge of design patterns and reusable components.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, TestNG, Cucumber, or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and real-time systems (e.g., WebSockets, server-sent events).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- AI/Fintech Edge: Exposure to testing AI/ML systems (e.g., LLM, NLP, Chatbots) or fintech applications is a big plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor teams, and drive cross-team collaboration with compassion and clarity.
- Problem-Solving: A knack for tackling ambiguous, high-stakes challenges with a structured, innovative approach.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of security testing practices for financial systems (e.g., OWASP standards).
- Contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks.
