The big picture: Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a Senior Associate of Client Management, Axios Live to support our award winning Axios Live events team!

The Axios Events Team — a creative and fast-paced division of the revenue organization — is seeking a Senior Associate of Client Management, Axios Live to provide tactical support to event leaders across sponsor deliverables, internal documentation, and client-facing materials. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who thrives on details, organization, and cross-team collaboration.

Zoom in: This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and quality across Axios' growing slate of event partnerships. As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with the Manager, Director, and Senior Director of Events to support the creation of timely, polished, and strategic materials that power client success and internal coordination. You’ll play a hands-on role in organizing project documentation, building sponsor decks, and assisting in the execution of event programs. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Deliverable Support & Content Creation
    • Build and update internal and client-facing slide decks, including run-of-show documents, sponsor briefs, timelines, and post-event recaps.
    • Maintain shared folders and trackers to ensure up-to-date reference materials across departments.
    • Assist in gathering, formatting, and proofreading sponsor-related content, assets, and approvals.
  • Event Execution Coordination
    • Help coordinate pre-event workflows and deadlines with internal teams (Editorial, Marketing, Production, Design).
    • Support on-site and virtual event execution logistics as needed (e.g., note-taking, client material setup, documentation updates).
    • Track project deliverables and escalate risks or delays to the Manager or Director-level lead.
  • Operational & Administrative Assistance
    • Own scheduling, asset collection, and light copywriting or formatting tasks to streamline client deliverables.
    • Support internal communication and coordination across departments by drafting summaries and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
    • Assist with preparing post-event wrap materials and reports that reflect Axios’ standards of quality and client service.

Details: This high-energy role requires excellent attention to detail skills and an ability to anticipate needs before they arise. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for the Axios mission, and possess the following strengths:

  • 2–3 years of experience in events, media, communications, or a project coordination role
  • Strong PowerPoint/Google Slides and document formatting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities
  • Strong written communication and proofreading capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with oversight
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Wrike, Airtable, or other project management systems a plus
  • Produces clean, accurate materials with minimal errors.
  • Reviews content and formatting carefully before sharing externally or internally.
  • Keeps detailed, up-to-date records of assets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manages digital folders, decks, and trackers efficiently to ensure team visibility.
  • Natural ability to think critically, problem solve and provide effective solutions
  • Willingness to work early mornings and late nights
  • Willingness to travel regularly

Starting hourly rate for this role is in the range of $30/hour - $38/hour and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
