As the Senior Clinical Strategy Manager for Clinical Product at Headway, you will play a critical role in shaping our digital products and platforms by embedding clinical expertise into the product development lifecycle. You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, and Customer Experience teams to ensure our tools are safe, compliant, and designed to promote patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience.
You’ll bring clinical insight, research, and patient feedback to inform product decisions, helping to drive roadmap execution, documentation, and training. You’ll also support clinical quality efforts, including incident and complaint investigations, and contribute to Headway’s quality improvement work.
This role requires strong collaboration, leadership skills, clear communication, and the ability to execute both independently and within cross-functional teams. Your work will directly support our mission to build a best-in-class digital experience that empowers clinicians to deliver high quality, effective, patient-centered care—at scale.

You’ll be great for this role if:
- A licensed clinician with 10+ years of post-graduate experience (PsyD, PhD, or equivalent) with strong experience in clinical quality, strategy, healthcare operations, or developing EHRs.
- You are a quality guru – with demonstrated passion for reimagining how behavioral health quality is defined, measured, and operationalized. This likely means you’ve worked in health plans, health systems, and / or value-based healthcare startups. You have experience developing digital health products and/or electronic health records.
- You are a collaborator and communicator – eager and adept at working in concert with product, operations, and sales teams to infuse clinical strategy across the organization.
You Will:
- Under the supervision of the Medical Director, support the expansion of the Headway digital product and platform.
- Collaborate with Headway's specialized product teams across provider, patient, payer, and billing domains to identify critical product initiatives, ensuring comprehensive clinical input is integrated throughout all stages of product development.
- Leverage clinical expertise to guide the Product team in developing and enhancing comprehensive processes that optimize patient care / patient safety, clinical quality, and experience on Headway's platform and technologies.
- Distill complex clinical processes and language in order to move product implementation forward.
- Define, track, and analyze performance of the product in key areas including but not limited to provider use/feedback, patient satisfaction, and overall clinical quality. Obtain both quantitative and qualitative data to pinpoint areas of opportunity and delve deeper into complex, ambiguous problems.
- Work with Education and Research teams to improve patient experience and satisfaction with Headway products, including patient provider matching processes, triage, and clinical support as they utilize the Headway platform.
- Orchestrate and secure cross-functional consensus among key stakeholders, including data analysts, designers, and engineers, to drive collaborative project execution.
Compensation and Benefits:

The expected base pay range for this position is $146,200 - $215,000 based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
