As a Senior Cloud Business Consultant (FinOps) you will work directly with a book of enterprise customers to help them align their cloud technology adoption with their business strategies in the FinOps space. You will have the opportunity to advise the world’s largest AWS, GCP, and Azure customers on topics related to FinOps. From cloud financial management, organizational governance, to cloud economics and cost allocation best practices, this role sits at the intersection of cloud, and you will have the opportunity to work with leaders in Engineering, Finance, Procurement, DevOps, and FinOps.
Our primary services are designed to help customers mature through their FinOps journey, and your responsibility will be to advise, track progress, and help customers implement their cloud financial management roadmap, as they move through the Crawl --> Walk --> Run stages of the FinOps roadmap.
In addition to supporting our customers, you will help us develop new strategies for the team, remain current in the market with our services, as well as help us identify other opportunities where we can work more deeply with our customers through our other managed and professional services offerings.
Work location: Remote in the U.S.A.
Candidates who reside within 40 miles of our San Antonio office will work in a hybrid location: work from home three days a week and in the office two days a week.

- Manage and deliver fast-paced, high-impact engagements with enterprise companies, resulting in further adoption of FinOps best practices and increased cloud maturity for our customers.
- Build relationships with client-side and internal stakeholders across various business groups to drive successful engagements.
- Deliver recommendations on topics ranging from cloud financial management, budgets, showback and chargeback, organizational management, policy and governance, and other topics related to FinOps.
- The potential to serve as a multi-cloud subject-matter expert, helping clients plan and execute efficient adoption and integration of cloud technologies and platforms across all three hyperscalers, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Enable clients to understand and use their cloud data across technical and non-technical business units.
- The ability to support large contractual negotiations, such as the AWS Private Pricing Program.
- Excellent data analysis skills and strong comfort in data presentation using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL and other data analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to reach a wide range of senior technology leaders both within our organization and with our customers.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP, preferably AWS.
- Deep understanding of public cloud FinOps best practices. FinOps certifications preferred.
- Understanding of other core public cloud functionality, such as AWS organizational structure, IAM roles and policies, Private Pricing Programs, as well as an understanding of how a cloud resale business operates.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate data into insights in a simple and elegant way.

- High School Diploma or regional equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in field related to role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute degree requirement.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Public Cloud FinOps, Cloud Consulting or Cloud Strategy required
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) preferred.
- Bonus points for Cloud Management Platform experience (e.g., CloudHealth, Flexera, Apptio, etc.)
- Bonus points for FinOps foundation certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, FOCUS Analyst, etc.)
- General office environment.
- Moderate levels of stress may occur at times.
- May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.

The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $96,800 - $142,010
The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $103,100 - $151,140
The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City, and Washington is: $112,900 - $165,550
Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of a bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
