Job Description:
The Content Manager will manage content across multiple platforms and formats. The goal is to increase website traffic, drive engagement, qualified lead generation, customer retention, and other positive client-related results. The position will help tell our brand story, with the mindset of helping customers who are searching for answers to their questions in relation to our company, our products, and our services.
The right candidate will have the heart of a teacher, with a love of learning, writing, and communicating in all forms. They must be able to analyze the performance of their work, find ways to improve their craft, and be inquisitive in nature.
The right candidate is very familiar with AI tools, including Canva, ChatGPT, Notion, and is eager to expand their AI skillset and drive internal team adoption. They are also familiar with Marketing frameworks, including StoryBrand and 'They Ask, You Answer.'
Job Responsibilities:
- Publish 3 articles per week (min. 1,000 words per article).
- Interview internal subject matter experts for content. Interview subject matter experts for written content for specific buyer stages. Assist in the creation of company email marketing efforts, including newsletter, social media, drip campaigns etc.
- Do keyword research and analysis for each written content. Produce premium content, including eBooks, white papers, webinars, case studies, etc.
- Assist in the creation of landing pages, video scripts, etc. General website updates and enhancements (e.g., new pages, call-to-action placement).
- Professional development and continued education in relevant areas (e.g., HubSpot Certifications).
- Coach and guide the content writers to adhere to our editorial guidelines whenever possible.
- Assist with the planning and maintenance of the content calendar. Help with training as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field.
- Writing and editorial skills, with outstanding command of the English language.
- An understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.
- Training as a print or broadcast journalist is a bonus. Great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.
- The ability of think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
- A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach.
- Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
- Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
- Familiarity with principles of marketing
- Incredible people skills.
- Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions through partnerships.
- Able to screen out sales pitches and look for the relevant brand and customer story
Job KPIs:
- Increase in defined customer engagement metrics (i.e., conversions, submissions).
- Growth in website traffic; specifically, organic reach and other inbound traffic sources.
- Conversion metrics definition and growth.
- Social media positive sentiment metrics
- Customer feedback and survey data.
- Increase in key search engine keyword rankings.
- Clearly defining content distribution during particular stages of the buying cycle (lead nurturing)
Job Requirements:
- A home office set up that meets the following:
- Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
- Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
- AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
- macOS 12 or newer.
- Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds.
- Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings.
- Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls.
- Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
- A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview)
- Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
- Able to work full time 40 hrs. a week: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday)
- Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments.
- Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).
Compensation:
Pay rate starts at $9.00/hr and may vary by experience and location.
