THE ROLE
Grove Collaborative is seeking a full-time Senior Copywriter with exceptional storytelling skills, innovative creative ideas, and passion for health and sustainability. This role will lead strategic messaging across email, site content, and brand campaigns, owning how the Grove brand voice shapes the customer experience at every touchpoint. You’ll own high-impact channels and collaborate closely with design, marketing, brand, and product teams to bring ideas to life through sharp, performance-oriented copy.
In addition to being a hands-on writer, you’ll manage and mentor a junior copywriter focused on blog, social, and editorial content. You’re confident giving clear creative direction, love elevating others’ work, and understand how all channels work together to tell a cohesive brand story.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
- Own copy development for high-priority channels including:
- Email marketing (promotional, lifecycle, triggered flows)
- Site UX (product pages, brand pages, navigation, flows)
- On-site content (banners, modules, SEO-driven content)
- Campaigns & PR (launches, brand storytelling, integrated brand moments)
- Translate marketing and product strategy into clear, compelling copy that drives results
- Collaborate with stakeholders across design, marketing, brand, and product
- Leverage performance insights (clicks, opens, conversions) and A/B test results to improve messaging
- Use AI writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) to scale and streamline copy workflows, and to identify new creative solutions
- Manage and mentor a junior copywriter, providing feedback, guidance, and channel-specific support, particularly for:
- Organic and paid social
- Blog and editorial content
- Ensure consistency of brand voice across all customer-facing touchpoints
- Proactively advocate for high creative standards, strategic thinking, and customer-centricity in copy
Own and evolve Grove’s copy guidelines, ensuring consistency in tone, grammar, clarity, and brand voice across all channels
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in ecommerce, DTC, or consumer brands
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional copywriting and editing across performance and brand-driven content
- Direct experience writing high-performing copy for email and/or digital product experiences
Strong editorial and storytelling instincts, with the ability to adapt tone across channels and audiences - Clear, empathetic communicator with management experience and a passion for mentoring other creatives
- Experienced using AI tools in a strategic and creative capacity not just for speed, but for better ideas
- Highly organized and proactive; you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can lead projects from start to finish
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Passionate about health, sustainability, and making everyday products better for people and the planet

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $110,000-135,000. Our compensation bands are adjusted based on market-specific cost of living data, meaning that the top of our salary range is reserved for the most experienced candidates in the highest cost of living areas across the country. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for an annual incentive target and equity.
