Overview of the role:
The Senior Corporate Events Marketing Manager will lead corporate events strategy and execution across trade shows, conferences, and internal events to amplify brand presence. The position requires managing comprehensive event lifecycles, from planning through post-event analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on marketing, content, and vendor relationships. This position also requires expertise in creating impactful event experiences that showcase our brand story and deliver measurable business results across global platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the execution of corporate events to amplify our brand story and image at national and international trade shows, internal events, user conferences, and brand activations. This includes leadership and support roles for SKO, President’s Club, AWS-re:inforce, AWS-re:invent, Google Cloud Next, Black Hat, RSA, Partner Leadership Summits, Executive Advisory Boards, Functional Leadership Offsites, and the GitLab DevSecOps World Tour.
- Manage to event strategy and execution from conception to completion, including lead planning, venue selection, lead management, and on-site delivery.
- Establish event goals and budgets while tracking ROI, engagement metrics, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans (pre-event, at-event, post-event) in collaboration with product marketing, content, alliances, demand generation, and field teams.
- Build and manage relationships with external partners and vendors, including contract negotiation to secure optimal terms.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams to create targeted event agendas, campaigns, and content that meet engagement objectives.
- Oversee creation of event communications and promotion for event programs, in partnership with Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales Development teams, to drive attendance and brand recognition.
- Develop and deliver event enablement, including pre-event briefings, on-site guidance, post-event follow-up, and retrospective analyses.
- Solicit speaking sessions for all relevant corporate conferences and industry trade shows.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in high-growth organizations, preferably within the technology sector.
- Demonstrated expertise leading large-scale owned and sponsored programs with proficiency in event management platforms and registration systems.
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) and CMM (Certificate in Meeting Management) certifications preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional capacity to perform effectively under pressure while handling multiple projects, tight deadlines, and unexpected complexities.
- Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to work asynchronously and collaborate across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated experience interacting effectively with executive and senior management teams.
- Exemplary project management and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Proficiency with GitLab and adherence to company travel policies.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
