Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will develop reporting, insights, and serve as a consultative partner to our entire organization. You will report to the Manager, Growth Analytics and will be responsible for driving experimentation, optimizing go-to-market levers, analyzing product feature behaviors, and aligning these insights with Calendly’s broader growth objectives. Our analytics team, made up of data analysts dedicated to various areas of the business, play a pivotal role in empowering the Calendly team with strategic insights into user acquisition, conversion, retention, and overall business performance.. This role sits on the Growth Analytics team which is a part of the centralized Analytics team alongside Product Analytics, Reporting Analytics, and User Insights. Together, our team is positioned to help Calendly become a data-driven, customer-obsessed organization.
A day in the life of a Senior Data Analyst, Growth at Calendly
Utilize your deep product expertise and advanced analytics skills to drive decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses, owning experimentation from end to end, developing event tracking plans, and delivering impactful reports to measure the effectiveness of features. Working closely with business stakeholders, the analyst translates complex business questions into structured analyses, supports experimentation through data collection and test design, and provides strategic recommendations. A strong commercial mindset is essential, as the role requires the ability to size up ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, and guide the team toward actionable insights.
On a typical day, you will be working on:
- Partnering with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Revenue, Design, and Lifecycle to define analytics and experimentation roadmaps and identify growth opportunities
- Designing and analyzing A/B tests to validate hypotheses and optimize acquisition, activation, and retention strategies
- Developing robust measurement plans to monitor business impact across key growth initiatives
- Identifying patterns and developing scalable insights to accelerate user growth and drive strategic decisions
- Leading cross-functional initiatives related to data governance, experimentation frameworks, KPI development, and lifecycle measurement
- Ensuring analytics outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with Calendly’s business goals
- Representing growth levers and business objectives in cross-functional planning and strategy discussions
- Applying statistical methods to uncover insights related to growth (e.g., conversion funnel analysis, cohort retention, lifecycle segmentation, marketing attribution, LTV modeling, and churn prediction)
- Synthesizing behavioral, marketing, and CRM data to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer journeys and growth barriers
- Building and maintaining dashboards that surface key growth trends and enable stakeholders to self-serve insights effectively
What do we need from you?
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a role focused on defining analytics and experimentation roadmaps and identifying growth opportunities across Product, Engineering, Revenue, Design, and Lifecycle teams at a Tech company
- Deep knowledge of A/B testing statistics and experimentation end to end design
- Proficient in Python programming for developing advanced analytics solutions and automation scripts
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data analysis/visualization tools like Hex
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, translating data insights into actionable growth strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proven leadership experience, fostering cross-functional collaboration and mentoring junior team members
- Ability to translate detailed data into clear, actionable recommendations, bridging technical and business perspectives
- Track record of building custom reporting and dashboards for impactful visualizations
- Inquisitive mindset for uncovering insights and opportunities through data, driving continuous improvement
