Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing who will develop reporting, insights, and serve as a consultative partner to our Brand and Product Marketing team. This position will be working with Brand, Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Web, Product, Demand Gen, or other marketing teams in a typical week. Reporting to the Manager of Growth Analytics, you'll collaborate most closely with the cross-functional Brand and PMM team to provide crucial insights and analytics support to drive effective decision-making.

Our analytics team is made up of data analysts dedicated to various areas of the business who develop reporting, insights, and serve as a consultative partner to our entire organization. This role sits on Growth Analytics which is a part of the centralized Analytics team alongside Product Analytics, Reporting Analytics, and User Insights. Together, our team is positioned to help Calendly become a data-driven, customer-obsessed organization. You will have your hands on our self-serve product-led business, supporting the team in making decisions, optimizing campaigns and enhancing customer acquisition – ultimately driving business growth.

A day in the life of a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing at Calendly

Utilize your deep marketing expertise and advanced analytics skills to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for building insightful dashboards, delivering impactful reports, and conducting in-depth analyses to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and projects. Working closely with cross functional teams such as analytics engineering to ensure our data is available and actionable for analysis. A strong commercial mindset is essential, as the role requires the ability to size up ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, and guide the team toward actionable insights.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Strategically partner with Go-To-Market teams including Brand, PMM, Performance Marketing, Website, and LIfecycle to fulfill their data needs and optimize growth
  • Optimize marketing performance through in-depth analysis of user lifecycle data, campaign and spend metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Brand & PMM team to develop and maintain dashboard reporting that tracks campaign performance including product metric funnels, facilitating self-serve capabilities where appropriate.
  • Connect data across marketing channels and areas of expertise to demonstrate impact through a full user funnel, providing comprehensive insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of different marketing strategies and tactics, providing insights to enhance targeting, messaging, and overall campaign performance.
  • Catalog marketing and user data in dbt and contribute to shaping our new data model in BigQuery, improving overall data infrastructure.
  • Assist with ad hoc data analysis requests from various marketing teams, demonstrating flexibility and strategic support as needed.

What do we need from you?

  • 5 + years of experience with analytics supporting marketing teams including initiatives like performance marketing impact analysis, measuring campaign performance for attributable and non attributable channels, and ability to manage multiple channel stakeholders simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data analysis/visualization tools like Hex
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, translating data insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to translate detailed data into clear, actionable recommendations, bridging technical and business perspectives
  • Track record of building custom reporting and dashboards for impactful visualizations
  • Inquisitive mindset for uncovering insights and opportunities through data, driving continuous improvement
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
