You’ll bring technical expertise and provide operational support to meet the data needs of our business, from migrating existing workloads to developing advanced cloud solutions.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with other engineering and product teams, focusing on delivering high-quality data products while promoting a culture of engineering excellence. • Develop and deliver efficient data models and products that align with business needs.
  • Gather and understand requirements, then design data models and solutions tailored to analytical and usage demands.
  • Apply data quality, governance, and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across all data products; establish monitoring systems to maintain partner trust throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Perform root cause analysis, implement preventative solutions, and monitor data processes to ensure quality and performance, including using cost analysis to design efficient, cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into detailed technical solutions, and plan for incremental, on-time delivery.
  • Mentor junior data engineers through code reviews, sharing best practices, and helping to foster a culture of high performance and engineering excellence.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and scaling data-intensive applications.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including building and optimizing data pipelines, data models, and transformations.
  • Experience working with one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). AWS preferred.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with data transformation tools and frameworks such as dbt (Data Build Tool), PySpark, or Snowpark.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
  • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD best practices.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
