About the Role
Angi’s Senior Director of Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting and Revenue is responsible for leading the Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, Revenue, and Account Receivable teams. This includes research and identification of the technical accounting solution to all accounting issues that arise, maintaining of all Angi accounting policies, oversight of the Financial Reporting area of the accounting team, and oversight of Revenue recognition policy and processes as well as our billing and collection. This position reports to Angi’s Chief Accounting Officer and leads a team of over fifty accounting team members to achieve Angi’s goal of Jobs Done Well.
What you’ll do
- Provide technical accounting guidance on accounting issues that arise across the accounting organization
- Maintain the Angi Accounting policies and procedures – including development of policies where necessary
- Oversee Financial Reporting team processes including:
- Quarterly external financial reporting such as preparation and review of Quarterly SEC documents
- Preparation of quarterly technical accounting memos prepared as part of the SOX framework (ASC 450, ASC 606, ASC 842 memos)
- Oversee the Revenue and Accounts Receivable team including:
- Provide technical guidance on Revenue ASC 606
- Support Revenue director on Revenue and Accounts Receivable operations, including partnering with product and technology teams on new product release and process gaps
- Provide training and mentorship to the accounting teams and champion best practices across the accounting organization.
- Support internal and external audit programs by engaging with auditors on questions related to financial reporting and by providing requested information timely
Who you are
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance. CPA preferred.
- You have 15+ years public company accounting experience - public accounting experience a plus
- You have a thorough understanding US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements
- You have experience developing and leading a team of high performing accountants
- You are proficient in Google Suite with knowledge of NetSuite
- You are proactive in identifying process improvements and take initiative to diagnose and remediate potential issues
- You are an effective collaborator in a team setting with ability to foster inter-departmental cooperation in compliance efforts
- You are highly organized and detail oriented
- You can multitask and prioritize on multiple projects/assignments
- You are an expert communicator of ideas, issues, and resolutions to a broad audience (e.g. executive management, staff, internal & external auditors, etc.)
- You have exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- You have exceptional planning and organizational skills
- You can handle confidential and sensitive matters

Compensation & Benefits
- The salary band for this position ranges from $260,000 - $290,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
